And your stats show you get an even better win ratio always playing by yourself. So…
That is because I am the GOAT and a credit to every team that is gifted my work rate.
Truer truth has never been more true.
It made it popular for those groups of friends.
It must have been glorious for the good players on the team. Absolutely smashing it out of the park. Game after game after game. What K/D’s are we talking about? Plus three… Five… More?
TrueSkill2 and SBMM has made the game fun and fair for everyone.
And seriously. If anyone could find a way to match teams of wide skill ranges - and create a fun time for every player on both teams - they would be rich.
Because at the moment there are three, somewhat unpalatable options.
-
You match the teams on individual skill (like for like). But the lower ranked players don’t have as much fun as you would think. The have a bad time being cleaned up by the good players on their way to fight each other. It’s also unfair for the lower ranked players who aren’t in the squad. They didn’t sign up for this.
-
You match the teams on average MMR (which is what they do now - with weightings against the squad). Games are closer but the good players on the squad complain that they have to sweat to carry the team and the bad players spend their time trying not to die. But at least the games are close - and it’s a good option for the opposition (non-squad) team.
-
You match randomly. Which is great for the lower ranked players on the squad - they have a team they can compete against. It’s fantastic for the higher ranked players on the squad - they go on long killing streaks. But it completely sucks for the other team - who are now just chum in the water.
I’m not sure what precipitated you suddenly switching into prima-donna mode.
You made a post. I made a reply which essentially said “which part of halotracker” and suddenly you’ve unleashed with this spectacular tantie.
Feel better now?
But if you feel like switching back into “adult” mode. Which part of HaloTracker are we talking about? If it’s the graph of CSR that appears on the front page I’m not sure it’s that useful/accurate.
And it can be out of whack. I went to check it a couple of days ago when I hit Diamond (yay, me) and it still had me down as Platinum 3 (for the whole week).
I don’t think it can be trusted for an accurate game to game CSR change.
Plus it doesn’t show up for a lot of players when I look them up. I wonder it’s in-house data that is gathered when you actual log in and view your stats.
At the moment I have a little ruler that I hold up to the player’s CSR bar. On my TV screen it’s 81mm long… so I get a good estimate of change. The problem is I can’t use data from players who have just ranked up or down a tier (I don’t know their starting point).
But if you have another way I get this data from HaloTracker I would appreciate it.
You do realise I am collecting the data from my team-mates and opponents don’t you. It’s not just my own personal CSR change.
That’s kind of how these things work.
You make a null hypothesis and set about gathering data to prove or disprove it.
It should be quite clear from first post.
Another week of data. Tripled the set - but still a very small sample size.
No correlation for K, D, KDA, K/min, Total score and Objective Score.
Low correlation (just, like literally 0.3) for K/D.
More data incoming…
