Dat Safe Room...

Why is the button to open the “safe room” on the outside of the room? Those who have played the latest Spartan Ops missions will know what I’m talking about.

Is the writing in Spartan Ops supposed to appeal to 7-year-olds? I can barely take it seriously.

Yeah, I’m finding the writing somewhat poor, except for the last chapter of this episode. Probably the most fun I had playing Ops in the past 5 weeks.

Maybe because only humans could activate Forerunner terminals -.-
and Prometheans don´t have real arms, one is a weapon and one a sword.
Funny thing that they can´t open their own doors

The safe room makes no sense at all.

The button is outside
He opens it at the most dangerous part of the level - and then doesn’t close it!

you would think the elites would be able to push the button and open the door

Yes the writing is very poor. Along wiht the game play. It’s way too repetitive. And the characted models are all the same.

The writing seems as though it was done for a different game, considering the general tones of the campaign.

This is the problem with overly large design teams; the experience becomes inconsistent because they all have different views/perspectives on what the game should be like.

its not bad i have 3 missions left
4 and 5 in episode 5
last chapter of episode 3

Just wondering, just how good does the writing for a SPARTAN Ops chapter have to be? It’s just mostly indicators of when the next wave is coming. It doesn’t have to do the kind of heavy lifting a campaign cutscene does It just gives chapters some structure and is not meant to distract from playing the game. It does not need to be stellar.
