Any tips for what will actually stop the Warlord at mid-late game?
No lie, had one yesterday attacking my base solo. 4-5 snipers, my hero, two siege turrets, and two anti infantry turrets, and the Warlord’s health wouldn’t even get down to half.
My base’s health was falling faster.
I don’t want to call anything broken or OP.
Asking for advice instead.
It’s unkillable either you are max pop and he has no units or it’s not dying.
Dat Warlord. He is quite grand with his upgrades.
In that scenario, if your army was close by, I would probably try to quickly focus him down but that is a rather cumbersome way to do it.
Possibly try to force a pull back by assaulting his main? Not sure that would work either. I gotta think about this.

Not that this is the end all solution but stanchion snipers can help with their stun. Basically, you need CC to hold him still while you burn him down as his regen is bananas.
Or build 15 elite rangers lol.

Listen, I’m not saying you’ll win the war, just how you can mass units to kill specifically him xD.
I understand the frustration, though. His built in siphon plus boundless siphon and hammer stun is stupid hard to kill. It’s almost easier to kill his army and try for his bases in a base race and leave him be. Unless you can catch him out with CC.

Best strategy is to just ignore him and pull the player attention away from his warlord and maybe then you can kill his afk warlord with some kiting.

That’s wild.
I don’t really see how you can win against a good player, especially since he can get two heroes out.
I’m surprised there’re so many posts about Forge, yet there are some other major issues going on

I have literally been saying this since the start of season 6, my friend worked out Decimus was pretty beastly then against Forge and started to mess around with him then. Come to season 7 and he gets a buff he’s been legit wrecking Forges with it. It’s quite funny this is now being realised as everytime I said about using Decimus against Forge people were saying they shouldn’t have to which I agree, but if you pick Decimus you’re actually extremely good against anyone you face so other than maybe Forge/YipYap he’s probably one of the safest picks to go.
Anyhow, how to kill him if you burst him down quickly then you can so as others have said CC him down and then burst away. Can’t remember exactly how many vultures I used but given we played one who was super turtling at the end I had nearly a full pop army of Vultures and just spammed Y on him and watched him die. I think that’s probably the easiest way to do it as even if the Vultures die as long as they get the missle of it’s done it’s job. So yeah get something with ram or stun do that then burst everything you have at him this managed to take out a Vet 2 one so it is possible just hard. Failing that if you do just ignore him and go for a base push once you’ve taken out his army that’s another viable strat. But yeah you do not want him getting vet levels or your asking for a hard time.
Not going to say its broken, BUT. Banished heros(Atrixo, and Warlord) are so strong that if you let them survive until mid game its over(if you are UNSC). Once they have an upgraded hero unit with an army, nothing you can do. Finish the fight before it gets to that point.

Banished do have some top heroes.
But, Deci has some crazy stuff happening right now. Chosen will at least die after invincible and everything else wears off.
Warlord’s passives don’t go away.
This is why a % SP/HP nerf will accomplish nothing. Even if you nerf his health it doesn’t matter because it never goes down lol.
Only reason why people haven’t freaked out is because you hardly see decimus in matchmaking.
Warlord can’t hit air, so if you catch him alone you can off him. Air is not always the best option though, and massed anti-infantry usually is the better play seeing as the hunter/ranger combo is one of Deci’s favorites. As a Deci main, my Warlord usually only dies when terribly outnumbered or surrounded by counter units. Another good way to go is the YapYap swarm and debuff him with wagons so he can’t run.
I love Warlord with all my heart, but he’s a little crazy. Still, nerf him and Deci will drop back down on the tier list, effectively killing his viability in this season (which is the only season he’s been high tier).

Why would I pick Decimus when I can just play Forge???
Decimus is pretty tanky,I easily got a 3 star warlord yesterday
He was a 3 star warlord… and you were already really far behind… he’s not OP. That’s what decimus does. He has really strong units who siphon. They are not going to nerf this. They have already stated so. What I did that game takes a LOT of micro to do. You can’t just make a warlord and send it to ur opponents base and win. U have to keep it alive for 10 to 15 minutes all while getting enough kills to get it 3 star and make sure ur winning all over the map. Decimus doesnt have any army drops(decimus drop is basically a troll). He doesn’t have and powers like eradication or inferno or garbage drop like other leaders. He doesn’t have a way to make his army invulnerable to big powers or vulture bombs. He doesn’t have a better eco or faster units at the start. Hell even his hero isnt really useable until tech 2. I could go on and on… the point is. He’s not OP I just abused a combination of all my powers and work up until that point for my viewers entertainment. Also this is not an attack on the OP. He asked for a counter. Of course he can die to like 8 or 10 snipers if he’s 3 star. But honestly. It’s really no different than trying to kill a 3 star scarab or another super unit. Your probably not going to . Because it should not have gotten to that point in the first place. Let’s stop asking to nerf things

His recent buff makes his passive HP regen the stuff of legends.
