How do you guys like the new Assault Rifle. It looks awesome. Oh, boy I can’t wait to get my hands on it and mow down some guys getting in my way!

That isn’t Halo 3’s AR. Not even sure what that’s from.
But yes, Halo 4’s still looks way better.

The design for the AR in Reach was the best, as it looked like an actual gun.

It looked like a pile of junk that was about to fall apart to me. And we are sort of 500 years into the future, I would imagine guns would look more streamlined now.
Besides, the classic AR design is iconic.

What are you talking about? The first one is a really detailed render of the H3 Assault Rifle. The second is a first person screenshot of the AR on the level “Tsavo Highway”.
The AR is alright, but I’m really missing the SMG.
The new AR looks really cool, and better than ever. I especially love that they kept the classic AR design instead of the Reach one.
Can people please stop using “Dat” in thread titles its getting annoying and everytime I see it it reminds me of those two racist transformers in Transformers 2.

The first one looks like a fan made model. The proportions are off and the textures are crappy. It is not the Halo 3 AR.
The second one obviously is, I was referring to the first.
I feel that it still is a bit too nerf compared to the saw and suppressor. The assault rifle is supposed to be a bit more beefy. Also It should sound more like in CE / CEA.

Yeah I noticed that too. The real H3 AR looked really plastic-like with no forms of markings. Donnydoo’s link looks like a fan’s rendering of the AR.
