I feel darker maps are a little bit of a must have, I mean halo 1-3 have flashlights while ODST and Reach had night vision, having night vision features in multiplayer could change how maps are designed, where most, if not all, maps have reasonable lighting and you can see your enemy quite easily.
I’m bringing this up because I recently read some else’s post about the Binary rifle having promethean vision when scoped that has to recharge before use again and it made me think of the sniper from HaloCE and how that had night vision, so what if darker maps are added players can use the NV effect of the sniper rifles to find opponents, but only make the dark maps clustered, so snipers can’t see someone across the map easily and pop him in the head, maps like Turf from halo 2 but bigger and night time with minimal lighting.
So snipers can only look down a few ally ways at a time and struggle to see, needing to use night vision they scope in, hiding their motion tracker making them vulnerable from sneak attacks, as well as there being more than just the alleys to reach his current position that the enemy can take
