Rumors are saying we’ll get one at the VGAs, but I’m with you, I don’t think we’ll see anything til E3, however a year before Reach’s launch we had gameplay photos and much, much more intel. I would really like to see M.C.'s final design, and see what we’re working with not just concept art.

Although I would love it, I doubt we will see a VGA trailer.
When Reach was coming out, Bungie had announced by now that a trailer would be shown at the VGA’s. And the game was coming out in Sept. 14. This game, I figure, is coming out in November since it says Holiday 2012 (Thanksgiving/Christmas) so December is too early.
I hope I have to eat my words in the next couple days though.
As Ka Five and everyday math said, I’m expecting a new Halo 4 trailer at the VGA’s as well. Traditionally, Halo games (especially Reach) have revealed something at the event, and I think 343i will continue the trend. Granted, Bungie has released the knowledge of having a new trailer at the VGA’s before the event, however 343i’s not Bungie. I enjoy having the speculation and uncertainty, it makes it that much better when it comes.
We haven’t seen or heard virtually anything about Halo 4 since the teaser trailer in early June, we’re about due for something. Coupled with the information contained in the Anniversary terminals, it seems like the VGA’s would be a great place and time to have another trailer. I wouldn’t bank on it, but I would slightly expect it. Speculation has been heavy, and I think 343i will deliver.
