I’ve had a disc copy of Halo 5 for a couple years now. I’ve played Halo all the time, but my disc was recently damaged. The game has already been installed, updated and played. Is there any way I can play Halo 5 again without having to buy another copy?
Depending on how badly damaged it is, you may be able to take it to a local game shop and get it repaired. Failing that, it would need to be a new disc unless you can find a decent price digitally
It is damaged (bent and scratched) enough that I don’t want to risk putting it in my Xbox One console and not be able to eject it.
Does 343 or Microsoft offer any kind of solution to trade a disc copy for a digital code? Or do I have to just bite the bullet and buy another copy or a digital code at full price?
They do a disc replacement option, but only within 90 days of purchasing. They don’t do digital replacements as far as I know. There are places you can find discounted digital codes or you might be able to get a 2nd hand copy form a local game store. That’s what I did when my copy of Destiny stopped working
Xbox and PlayStation are making digital games more accessible each year. I’m probably going to buy a digital copy like you did for destiny. Thanks
Do you still play destiny? I do.
