Damage vs. Vehicles

Hi everyone!

Since Reach, any kind of precision (head shot capable) weapon can harm vehicles really bad. In Halo 4, vehicles are already weak (cough…plasmas, plasmas everywhere) and the precision weapons are also do significant damage to vehicles.

In my opinion if we want improved vehicle game play, we should please 343 to tweak the precision weapons damage against vehicles. Starting weapons shouldn’t do that much damage against vehicles.

Light vehicles like Mongooses or Ghosts should be less effected by the change. But I think taking out a heavy vehicle like a Scorpion with DMRs only, from the other side of the map is unacceptable.

I improvise some changes below:

  • Mongooses resistance should remain unchanged.
  • Ghosts should take 25% more damage from precision weapons.
  • Warthogs needs to take 35-40% more before blow from precision weapons.
  • Mantis fine, maybe 5-7% increase.
  • Banshee should take 55-60% more before blow.
  • Wraith 15-20%
  • Scorpion 15-25%

What do you guys think about it?

The ghost is fine, but I really wish HLS could actually save you from being rammed.

All vehicle’s should take less damage from precision weapons. The entire covenant fleet was supposed to be overwelming, now they become weak, useless, now they expect me to believe that tanks, anything else is never going to be improved, made worse in the future.

Equip Operator, problem solved.

Its stupid you need a perk to make the vehicles worthwhile but its how they made the game. Move on.

Odd, isn’t it, that you stand a better chance surviving an encounter against two enemies with DMRs with just your shields than you do inside a Scorpion tank?

Light arms should only be effective against infantry. When you are facing an armored vehicle (yes, Warthogs, Ghosts and Banshees are armored) you should need more. There is no point in using any vehicle (other than Mantis) in H4 with present settings.

It’s as if 343i only wanted us to use their new toy.

Why is it everyone thinks operator solves everything. The only thing you notice a difference from is how long it takes for the vehicles to pop back to life from a EMP and even then by the time you are back up you are stuck.
