I believe the Banshee doesn’t need the damage boost!!!
Flips and bombs will avoid the rockets and a lot of LMG fire. Direct hit bombs launched in between flips will down the Mantis in a few hits.

Mantis has multiple lock on missiles and a chaingun. And they both can fire without switching unlike the banshee.
Banshee can shoot long range with the fuel rod away from missles lock on
Even though the Mantis is supposed to counter the Banshee, the Banshee would absolutely annihilate the Mantis in that situation.
