damage boost does whAT??

  • i found out that there is a small ability to the damage boost, it not only effects the player but anything the player comes into contact with. Its absolutely terrorizing to see a phaeton instantly take out a temple banshee as if i was breaking a Kitkat bar. Do we really need this? NO. the thought of having vehicles with stronger armor and more deathly weapons a should be enough to make you nerves, but to have a see a ONI tank getting taken out easily by a regular banshee because one banshee bomb has the power of an atomic bomb…is kinda unneeded… i tested it in war zone and to see a mantis get taken out quickly just makes me sick. to show you and put an image in your head, with 4 damage boosts "the answer " can take out 3 banshee ultras and 2 wasps and STILL have 5 bullets left to kill 2 Spartans. if anyone would want proof, please send me an xbox halo 5 invite to prove the atomic hell, damage boost can actually do

I use damage boost and warthog, and saws often. I thought everyone knew, I mean how couldnt you?
its only over powered in the sense that you exampled by chance. Usually you have to wait on a lvl 6 rep (tanks or the answer) then get enough kills to get buy the 5-6rep damage boost…

I think it’s fair. You need to save up a lot of levels to be able to use damage boost AND a vehicle.

EDIT: Plus it doesn’t last forever and in most cases just makes you an even bigger target than if you just had either or.

I see no fault in Damage Boost at all. Some people have the time, patience, and skill(?) to use this in conjunction with a vehicle. I’ve been on the receiving end countless times, and my whole team was at the mercy of whatever metal menace decided to stalk us.

This

Damage boost is great and all, but just the fact that it isn’t permanent, and you lose it if killed is pretty detrimental. Plus it’s a high enough REQ level so that it gets more difficult to combo.

Damage boosts cost 5-6 REQ points… So to combine that with a banshee or phaeton you’d be talking anywhere from 11-14 REQ points. That’s a tall order to execute, plus damage boosts are temporary. I don’t think this is a cause for concern, as I haven’t seen damage boost play a huge factor in vehicles during most games that I’ve played.
