Your daily xp cap will reset whenever the challenges reset. You can view the time remaining until they reset in-game under start>up>challenges.
Thought that might be the case. Still got a few hours left then I think…

Somebody please attempt to argue why there should even be a daily XP cap.
Is it to reign in enthusiastic players from getting too far away from those who care very little to grind levels out? I mean it really doesn’t make any sense at all, and this is -to my knowledge- the only video game in the free world that seemingly doesn’t want you to enjoy it as much as you possibly can.
With the XP cap being at around 150k or so, when you factor in the XP overyielding Spartan Ops multiplayer, plus Fast Track and Doritos/Mountain Dew 2x XP, hitting the cap is frieghteningly easy within a very modest session. You’re gaining nearly 14k XP a game with this combo. Even without the 2x XP it’s still far too easy to hit the cap within a 24hr period.
I myself have hit the cap now for the 3rd time without using the 2x XP and I’m really starting to get tired of turning my Xbox off every time I’m in the mood to keep power levelling.
Either double the daily cap or do away with it altogether. It serves no purpose this time around – there’s nobody boosting at Oni Sword Base so we don’t need to have hancuffs on.
The arbitrary daily XP cap is completely unnecessary, please consider its prompt removal.

It’s funny.
If I made the decision at 343, I would have done it solely for the reason that I knew it would piss a bunch of people off. then I would proceed to laugh at people getting so pissed off at a video game.
