Earlier today I completed the daily challenge “Leadership element”. I continued to play a while, then turned by Xbox off. Now, however, the challenge puts me at 3/45 kills, though I still have the credits. I’m no fool and don’t want to mess with the Banhammer by doing it again, but in light of the weekly challenge, is there any way to get it back to the completed status without completing it again?

Well you should load the game then go to dashboard and it SHOULD be fixed, if not go to your Bungie.net account and check to see if you completed it.
One accidental reset won’t get you banned, Bungie/343 realizes that it just happens sometimes… just try to not do it again. I would say go ahead and complete it if you want your weekly to go up… though I find it strange that the weekly doesn’t remember where you were at.
