I know most of you are going to be like daft punk are like dubstep and drum and bass so they cant make the music for halo 4 because its not epic enough.
Well if you have ever seen Tron: Legacy you will know what i mean.
Heres one of the songs by Daft Punk If you dont like that song then theres lots more on the side bar.
Also if you have seen the new Halo 4 directors cut trailer then the bit when Master Chief gets out of the cyro tube it turn into the music like of tron. So im just saying that if daft punk made the music for halo 4. It would not be a bad idea.
And theres also this one as well. What i think is really epic for them sad bits in a game and a film. Here the song
> > How about we leave the composing to the composers 343i already hired, hmm?
>
> How about look at the bit i said on the halo 4 directors cut trailer and you will notice it sounds ALOT like tron
Who cares what it sounds like? 343i already has a staff. Let them do their work.

That’s mean.
I like very much Daft Punk, and I know they have experience working with an Orchestra. Of course we’ll have our main theme and all the action packed music. But a Human After All Halo themed would be the most awesome thing in the history of music.
Daft Punk + Skywaker Orchestra = Epicness all over the place
> The music in the Director’s Cut doesn’t even remotely resemble Daft Punk.
>
> Just because you like Daft Punk doesn’t mean they’re the only freaking music band that does this kind of music, nor are they the originators.
>
> And quite Frankly, Daft Punk’s Tron album was pretty terrible. It had only 2 good songs and everything else was forgettable.
This.
It perturbs me to no end every time a Halo game is announced. Everybody has a suggestion for their favorite band to be included into the soundtrack. I remember a huge thread on B.net requesting Linkin Park for Reach. Thank God the request went unanswered.
A soundtrack doesn’t need a name attached to be good. And, in many cases, big names can be to the detriment of the overall quality. Leave it to the professional video game composers. They know what they’re doing.
I’d personally like to see how 343’s own soundtrack goes before seeing them commission others to make their music. If the music in Halo 4 is terrible then I’d be fine with them getting someone else to make it for the next game. Probably not Daft Punk, not because their bad or anything but I’d go with someone like Harry Gregson-Williams, he’s done the MGS soundtacks since MGS2 and he’s behind the soundtracks to a whole lot of movies. He’s shown he can adapt and make music for a variety of genres so I think he’s be able to pull it off. But like I said earlier, I want to see how 343 goes first.
I want to see and hear what 343i has to offer in the way of music, so I am quite happy to wait and let them get on with their own work. However quite frankly I think getting Breaking Benjamin back to do the ending theme would be a better choice than Daft Punk. Again I am going to leave the music up to 343i.

Oh, come on. The music you’re referring to in the director’s cut trailer was chosen by joseph kosinski as it was just for promotional purposes. Besides, 343i has already hired their own composing team so they’e not going to reconsider changing it up at all.
And thats not even 1/16th of it, you should hear the REAL underground dub. It is DIRTY! Also how can you say dubstep isn’t epic… dude, IDK about you but raves are EPIC.
Nice tunes.
Halo’s music has always been Orchestral with pangs of electronic and some rock(Steve Vai!) so I’m sure whoever 343i choose will do a great job.
I hope they keep the amazing music that is halo. The music is what defines what halo is. Changing it would be a HUGE mistake.
I remember Halo CE, coming in and looking at a massive halo ring monks singing in the background then the change the the beating drums of battle and the violins in the background, the music was beautiful, it has been throughout the halo series. I know halo though it’s amazing music that I listen to all the time.
If part of a song from Halo plays I can remember when and where exactly it plays because it’s just that memorable.
Anything close to Daft Punk or changes along that path would see me not buying another halo game ever again, because the music has played a huge part in numinous play throughs of Halo. It’s what gives me feeling though the game, when we saw chief alone in space at the end of halo 3 and the slow sad music plays I can’t help but feel sad for the chief.
I’m surprised that people bought the Tron: Legacy soundtrack thinking it was a new Daft Punk album. Maybe that’s why it wasn’t so liked. I used some of those themes (both normal and R3C0NF1GUR3D) in some of my works and I turned out really well. It’s an OST after all. (OST, OST, A-A-Fter all :P) I think Daft Punk can Fit Halo if they propose so.
> If you want to listen to Daft Punk and play Halo, mute your TV and play music from your PC/I-Pod/Phone.
That’s really Eco-Unfriendly. There’s a better way. Use a USB Memory and connect it to the Xbox USB port. Keep it green, man. I mean, if people do that to listen to music while playing.
