After playing a few Big Team Battle matches, I feel kind of limited in movement. Although Sprint does have Slide as part of its toolkit, the speed boost for both were pretty negligible. I wanted to use Grappleshot as part of a Slide Boost combo, but it doesn’t seem to be that effective. I’d propose letting us replace Sprint and Slide with a second Equipment piece, so that we can do weird combinations of Equipment such as Grappleshot and Repulsor for crazy movement, Threat Sensor and Active Camo for the sealthy people, or Thrusters and Repulsor to kind of bring back a nerfed Spartan Charge.
Basically, let us replace Sprint with a second piece of Equipment so that BTB gets closer to the chaos of the old BTB, and so that Customs can have even more new and fun game modes. I’d want to use Repulsor + Grappleshot for a superhero race, Repulsor + Thrusters for volleyball/tennis. Active Camo + Threat Sensor for a slasher/horror film kind of mode, and a lot more with future Equipment additions.
That’s a cool concept for for custom games. But personally I’m happy with the movement right now. It’s all about using sprint to gain momentum to do other actions.
Although slide does feel useless. You just don’t move very far or very fast with it.
Why do so many people feel like they should be able to fly around the map all the time, do you not understand the negative effects advanced movement has on gameplay? Movement is probably the best thing right now in Halo Infinite, but ya sure do as you please in custom games.

My issue with advanced movement was with the map design, mainly. It seems to be mostly fixed and restored to the open arena style of before, but there are still some issues regarding map flow, especially on Bazaar and the BTB map.
As for feeling the need to fly around all the time, Halo’s sandbox doesn’t really lend well to this style of gameplay because you can’t zoom around and kill enemies instantly, except with a sniper headshot. Map awareness still outweighs aim. Even with the Grappleshot, its usability in combat is miniscule at best, because of how slowly it reels in players.
