Ever since Halo 3 I have been a big forger. I have made over 700 unique custom games/maps. Being the forger I am, I must say…
This game is the greatest disappointment ever. Forge is trash, fileshare doesn’t work, and the actual gametype editing is garbage.
Not only that, but the CG community seems to be dying, too. You can post threads, send invites, and send messages, but no matter how hard you try, you (or at least I) can’t get north of 4 people in one game.
For the past month, I have been trying to get at least 10 people to test my map. A month.. Literally, the best I have got is a 2 v 2.
I have been on a quest since October 2010 to get one of my maps into matchmaking. I got close in Reach with one of my invasion maps, and got excited at what Halo 4 forge would bring as to increase my chance. Being how it is, I was greatly disappointed.
I looked up the listed community cartographers. By their names, it says when they last visited waypoint. Literally all of them haven’t been on in over 1.5 months.
Honestly, I think we need to get a message to 343i. This title update had BETTER bring something good to the table, or this franchise is screwed.
While I personally think the Custom Game features are OK, they still need to be better. Hopefully with the full power of the 720 behind it Halo 5 will offer us some revolutionary choices.
I truly believe that that will be this game’s last stand.
The only thing I play are customs now. Gonna jump on and get some MLG customs going right now. I can’t stand regular matchmaking anymore. Not enough maps or gametypes.
Precisely. Until they add community maps to MM, THAT sucks too.

Dude I’m always in like a full lobby whenever I’m hosting custom games.
Add my GT and I’ll let you test your maps whenever I’m playing in a decent amount of players in a lobby (this goes for everyone else too): AppallingRain53

Exactly the problem.
I would like to take a minute to speculate on the Fileshare system. In Reach, I had a fileshare with over 50,000 downloads. H4’s system makes this impossile. Unless this update carries the FSS with it FS could die, too.

^^ this, I play customs often and CUSTOM GAMES IS ALIVE AN WELL BABY lol star wars battlefront, this maps is unbelieveable. The maps are the best in Halo so far the OP just mad he isn’t good at H4 forge and don’t have people the play customs with so he bash it.
I see people trying to recuit on waypoint and get no reply then you guys complain you can’t find someone to play with. If you all get together you won’t have a problem…and no you can’t play with me
