As an artist type guy, well more of a cartoonist, I have a very cool idea, so hear me (or read me lol) out, what if we can download tools on pc to design our own weapon /armor skins on 3d weapon/armor models, hell if that’s too complicated, they can just give us HD pictures of the side of a weapon (though the giving us tools to design our skins on actual 3D models seems to be more suited for armor skins, as they are more complex than guns) and we design the skins on those pictures in photoshop or something, then afterwards we, the designers, upload the designs on waypoint and than every month there will be a skin list and we vote which skins will be in the next req update or something and the voted skins (lets say top 3/5) go in the update next month (and imo, the designers of the voted skins will automatically receive those skins in the update and dont have to open reqs to get em) and if they use the simple picture edit on photoshop idea, than 343 will could simply paste your texture on the weapons/armor if your skin is voted. IMO this will not only make skin/req variation a lot more expansive, but with the addition of other classic and new gamemodes, forge and free dlc in the upcoming updates, would make the life of H5G MP last quite significantly and it would be great community interaction. Think about it guys, CSGO does this and i hope halo 5 would do as well, i would love to design some skins when i master my photo shopping skills. This in my opinion would also. Afterwards, maybe in the next Halo we can even design our own emblems and stickers for our guns (for example, like CSGO there will be ultra rare/mythic skins with pro autographs or something). It would also be cool to even design our own armor models, but that would be complicated IMO.

Meh, I think most of the community is mature enough to handle such things without being traumatized.

A majority may be, but there will always be those who are too young and will complain.

The mods generally don’t like it when you resurrect threads that have been dead this long. Personally I would like a ‘Design a skin’ contest mostly to prevent as arc trooper suggested the genitals and other crap that would inevitably come with people be allowed to create their own skins.
