Customization Options

Halo 5’s customization options were…few and far between.

In Halo Infinite, I would love to see a lot more customization options, somewhere as many has Reach did. The more options there are, the more you feel like that is your character.

I would love options like:

Left Leg
Right Leg
Left Shoulder
Right Shoulder
Left Wrist
Right Wrist
Right Knee Guard
Left Knee Guard
Chest
Helmet
Visor
Decals/Emblems
Paint
Helmet accessories
Voice Over

There has been so much discussion on this topic. Apparently 343 may be returning to the type of customisation halo reach had.

I personally would love to see more colouring options. Not just colours themselves, but the ability to colour different parts of your armour individually, like having a red helmet with blue torso and white arms and legs.

What about customisable codpieces?

I want:
Everything you guys said above
Full RGB color customization of each individual armor piece
Armor light color customization
Paint patterns for each individual armor piece
Shoes
Gloves
Visor patterns (& colors)
Upper/lower arm (with shoulder & wrist accessories separate)
Upper/lower leg (with knee & thigh accessories separate)
Chest + accessories
Abs/Cod?
Back (+ accessories?)
Lower back?
Blood color?

And i’d want a similar level of customization for all playable non-spartan characters in the game. This could also allow for much more variety in enemy appearance.

Maybe it doesn’t make sense to separate the torso armor into chest/back/abdomen/cod, but i still like the idea of accessories/variants. In Reach, the grenadier armor had an up-armored variant (Jorge’s), but it was purchased as a separate piece, if i remember correctly.

I’d like to see strings of achievements that slowly unlock base armor pieces, then as you complete more challenges while wearing the armor, you unlock accessories/variants/paint/decals.

I don’t really want armor effects, it seemed kinda silly. At least, i’d like them to be turned off for ranked play, as they could be visually obstructing/distracting.

Also, i’d like to see armor accessories that are more unique to the base piece, or simply add a ton more. I found in Reach that all the helmets started to look similar as all players began equipping the same few accessories.

Definitely don’t allow shield color changes if overshields are still in the game, as that could be confusing.

Reach armor effects returning would be really cool too. Only have a limited amount though. Unlock 1 for doing solo legendary campaign, and another 1 for reaching max rank. That way they will feel exclusive and worth a grind.

Battle damage variants (more elaborate than Halo: 5) would be an interesting addition.

A Reach-esque customization would be cool for sure. I’d like to see most, if not all of the armors available for purchase via accrued credits from gameplay. That way player have a definite goal to grind for so they can eventually get thier preferred armor of choice.
One thing they(343i) needs to ensure, is that the armor doesn’t look too vibrant in contrast to the maps. Both player models and levels must have the same lighting, that way they dont stickout so much as they did in Halo 5.

Those are some really good idea’s.

actually 343 released some concept art for halo 6 which i THINK could mean more customization options like physique and face, and POSSIBLY helmet on and off options…

Reach Costumization - what else? Maybe with more gear etc - but please no multiple helms where just something small is changed

I want all of these and more! After the lack of customisation in Halo 5 I was not happy. Seeing these Mega Construx toys have me hype though! If you’re going to be able to change the colour of each individual armor piece to a different colour that would be fireeee

Well they said that fans of Halo Reach in particular will be pleased with the customizations so I can imagine something along those lines you mentioned (minus the voice over).

I want to change the color of my MP HUD. This should not be an option, it can only be accessed through rewards and rank progression.

I think it’d be pretty amazing if you had texture options unlockable as well as more specific color options per armor piece. Imagine being able to choose between the classic smooth and shiny visor or the hex pattern of more recent games-- with cracked versions for both available as well. I think the ability to customize the armor’s damage level would be extremely cool- especially if the only means of unlocking the option for a battle damaged variant is to use the armor in question for many matches first.

I think without obviously stepping on the toes of equal starts for multiplayer custom HUD colours and possibly decal design like the Halo 5: Guardians campaign for multiplayer would be an interesting option however the format and placement of your HUD items would need to remain the same.

I hope that we will get armor patterns that can be used with different armor pieces and colors.

I do think patterns that can be overlayed over any armor set combination is the way to go.

I already proposed camouflage color variants for the armor as well as being able to adjust the degree of dirtiness. This way you can make your spartan look clean and shiny or muddy and battle worn.
