Since the announcement of Halo Infinite (HYPEHYPEHYPE) I’ve been wondering what Halo Infinite is going to have in terms of customization. Because Halo 5 already has more than 200 helmets & armors you can choose from, that’s alot. Does this mean we’re going to see more helmets & armor sets from previous halo games? Or more designs from 343? Or both?
I mean a lot of the armour in halo 5 is just the same armour with some stripes which really bugs me.
For halo infinite we need the return of true customisation. Get rid of the duplicates and have just the base version. The have skins that over lay the armour. So for example the Soldier helmet has a second one where it’s got some stripes. Get rid of the striped one and have the stripes as a skin that can be applied to any helmet.
Then customisation as a whole needs to comeback. Not just helmet and body. It needs to be:
Helmet
Chest and back
Shoulders (independently)
Arms
Legs
Knees
Boots
But then that needs to be taken even further. Remember the helmet attachments in reach? Bring those back and have them as a single unlock that can be put on any helmet. The attachments reach had for the legs and arms, have those as well but bring more in.
The visor should be something we can colour ourselves and have to unlock styles i.e. Being able to have a colour fade into another.
There’s so many assassinations now that you either have all the default on. Or one unique one but let’s have so you toggle the ones you like and dilike on and off. Since the assassinations occur at different angles have the angles listed and you can swap around which ones happen. And when new ones appear ect ect
Halo 5 doesn’t have as much armor as it technically does, most are just ugly white stripe paints on normal looking stuff. They kinda winged plenty to make the REQ pool larger and longer to earn.
I like the amount of armor that Halo 5 had. But the organization of them was pure trash. The way Reach had the armors organized was awesome.

Then same with each piece of armor. So that we can go back and forth between the different variants… Instead of scrolling through 200+ different items to compare.
It really is a lot but in this case quantity doesnt replace quality. H5g armory was just full of same looking armors coupled with helmets that have lots of similar and absurd helmets with ton of reskins to fill the req pool.
Its like they had approved every doodle from designers to get ton of armors, I would rather have had same amount of armor variants Halo 3 had if they were made with same quality.
So anyway, as mentioned before, the customization points should be increased instead of the number of armors.
Halo Reach armory is the best so far when it comes to the amount of armor sets coupled with its armor customization points whereas Halo 3 has the best aesthetics.
So as to customization points I would prefer having helmet, visor, possible helmet gadgets, torso, torso gadgets, shoulder guards, shoulder gadgets, wrist guards, wrist gadgets, leg armor, leg gadgets, kneeguards, boots, undersuit, that sort of stuff.
There could also be customizeable knives, pouches and such along with menu being cleared better with subcategories like main categories being something like head for example what could include categories like helmet with it including subcategory helmet gadgets and other category in head menu alonside helmets being visors.
SPARTAN coloration could include being able to color individual pieces of armor with the ability to place your emblem on shoulder or chest for example. Perhaps even your own SPARTAN code or number to the other shoulder. Also, reskins should be turned to “patterns” category in color menus.
The emblems should be unlocked from start with only armor being unlockable stuff with emblems having at least fore- & background with possible ability to move and scale the layers.
This way there could be more unique SPARTAN designs with far lesser armors and far more clear menus, at least I wouldnt have to scroll through over 200 armor pieces to find what im looking for.

H5 probably has some of the worst sets of armour, don’t let the numbers fool you.
I hope we see the return of H3/Reach customization. No need for 5 different variants of the same stuff with a different notch or marking. Quality over quantity.
Frankly, I would rather see less armor designs, all of which had more thought put into making them look more unique and more appealing (more appealing to my tastes, admittedly, of course). In fact, MIKA95VARTSU presented the strategy I’d also prefer: go with about the same number of armor as in Reach, using similar down-to-earth design style, and allow perhaps more indepth customization of the armor.
Don’t just have a bunch of armor that looks different on the surface, but has no depth. Design something that allows the player express themselves through their armor choice. Are they slim and stealthy or do they like to go in guns blazing? Are they a marksman or do they like to get up close and personal? Are they a planner or do they like to improvise? Reach had some of that with the different details on the armor parts, most notably in the Noble Team armor. However, this could be given more depth by making them independent pieces that could be attached to other variants, and introducing things like custom wear patterns on the armor. Few expressive customization options always trump a million shallow ones.
Halo Reach Customization was the best I hope we see Reach esc Armor and with that I hope each helmet has a unique variant that you have to find in the levels sort of like emiles custom EVA That and I think you should be able to customize it from visor to pouches so each spartan is unique and has its own look so we don’t see 4 gazillion people with Emiles helmet and security shoulders with the breacher chest piece like we did in reach. Last Thing I want To Add. WHO’S EXCITED FOR HALO INFINITE
