Customization in H5G

I find that I have a difficult time making my spartan look how I want them to. For me, this is caused by two things.

  • the olive greens are too saturated for my taste - I don’t have enough control over my armor configurationthe color palate is merely a nit-pick of corse. But this lack of control over what armor I use is something I think 343i could solve easily.
People may respond with “Do you realize what goes into game development?” But I know it takes time and money for this ok.
(and forum admins, I made this to discuss how to make the game better. Not to bash on halo 5!)

We can use more customization options and not have 200+ armor. I don’t like the color palette at all, it needs to have true simple colors.

I think we just need a proper set of de-saturated colors to complete the palette, for the most part 343 got every thing right aside from the olive greens.

I like the way you think, and sadly 343i might not be willing to go that for the current installment of halo. But maybe they’ll go that far with the customization in halo 6.

I agree with the over-saturation of the colors they don’t look realistic at all anymore since Halo 4 came out. I liked the more opaque, rusty, military-looking colors that we had before. And I also agree with the limitations of the customization in Halo 5 I always pick quality over quantity I don’t like it.

Don’t waste your time making your spartan look good. The system is horrible because there are too many armor pieces to choose from and some are pretty much the same as other.
That is also why the system is flawed in halo 4, some armors and helmets have a duplicate with not a too distinct difference. (Example: Raider and Raider DST because they are the same armor)

But it is worth my time, because I have a mental list of armor pieces I would use. All I need is more options, (and if halo 5 had these options) my fore arm protection would be noble, my right shoulder pad would be noble, my left shoulder pad would be Vigilant, my torso armor would be vigilant, my foot protection would be Mark VI Gen 1, my lower leg armor (shin and knee protection) would be noble, my upper leg armor (thigh and waist armor) would be Vigilant, my helmet would be NightFall

I wish they would let you do it piece my piece like Halo Reach and Halo 4 it was so awesome

Customization needs a lot of improvement. I really want to see more options like how it was in Reach.
