Don’t see why not as it could fit in with the lore too e.g. if a spartan is hunting a target in the snow they’re more likely to wear all white instead of black

I actually don’t mind the halo 4 and 5 art-style of armour where you can see how a Spartan would used it.
My problem personally with the look is that a lot of the armour looks over designed and unnecessary. What’s the point of a helmet you can’t see out of?
I’d like the armour to have the same artstyle, but with maybe Halo 3 levels of options, customisation of undersuit colour, with armours that look like they have a purpose or specialisation like in Reach

Does anyone else miss belts?

Spartans nowadays don’t have belts, or crotch plates for that matter. That always seemed off to me.
Vale’s armor especially; good luck to her if her shields fail.

I think lore-wise the undersuit offers considerable protection (and has since Mark IV, I believe) but I agree with you; it looks a little odd and aesthetically creates a distracting gap in the armour on most suits.

I’ve seen quite a lot of customization related posts on here actually. My main wants are individual piece customization (Reach) with a colour pallet for each piece, add ons like knives, and patterns you can put on any armour piece you want, none of this H5 fixed pattern BS.

If they return elites what kind of customization would you like for them, also what artsyle would you like to see them to use

Now that would be interesting. I suppose I would like to see the same type of system just with all the different elite armour we’ve seen ranging from early days covenant all the way to modern day swords of sanghelios. 343i really seems to like curvy lines so elites could benefit a lot from that.

A lot of 343’s helmet designs kinda bother me, mostly because of the visor, and how it is so small/narrow. I know that no Spartan or soldier in general would ever wear that because of the lack of visibility offered by it, it’s just a hazard itself.
For example:
Venator
Cyclops

I honestly think this is a symptom of the REQ system… H5 has over 100 armor sets and that means you need 100 unique sets that stand out from each other. It’s just quality over quantity, for every Mark IV or Scout there’s a Seeker or Cyclops.

cool how would you like that armour to be unlocked by rank, challengesk, credits etc

I mostly agree because I think “some” helmets can pull off small visors quite well but I do see where you’re coming from

Maybe a mix of all three. You could unlock “normal” gear through credits and then more “special” gear through level/rank/commendations/challenges.

This is true. I don’t know why they felt he need to have so many different armor sets. It’s just ridiculous. Halo Reach kept it simple in my opinion. They had 20ish base helmets and 3 attachments for each helmet, then all other armor parts could be tailored to the player’s preferences. The biggest thing that bothers me for Halo 5s armor and helmet sets is that the only difference there is between them is the way they are painted. Paint scheme doesn’t matter THAT much.

It would be neat if certain customizations changed the gameplay, like certain visors or helmets might change the HUD.

All armor should be more distinct looking like on Reach. Also there should be shoulder armor, and leg armor added. The return of armor effects like birthday party and flames would be cool to have again as well.

I agree, but what kind of shoulder armour as, if it is big it could get in the way
