I haven’t seen a post about Ideas for future halo games customization features (I’ll delete this if there already is one)
But the point of this post is basically:
What customization feature/features would you like added
What should return
What should be changed or even be removed etc
The general consensus wants the Halo 3 / Reach customization system back in place. For me, I really want my character to have battle damage.

From getting shot in game or like a slider from Doom which means that your spartan armour is always damaged/worn

That’s pretty cool, I’d like to see that. Sort of like the Doom MP how you can adjust the dirt on your character and the worn out level.
In Doom it’s pretty cool and I agree it’s be kinda cool to see something like that in Halo six.
In a way it’s sorta in Halo 5 with the MK VI scarred armor. It’s not really the same, but it’s kinda close.

YES! An armor skin editor would be great. I’ve always wanted a mix of armor coloring and detail between Reach and H4
I heard they were thinking about black under suits but nothing about full customization and I’m kinda scared it wil just be helmet/armor/visor again

In customs It could help with machinimas as well probably shouldn’t be in multiplayer though or possibly do what reach did with elites where it will only be on your spartan in certain game modes
In terms of ‘levels’ of customization, I think Reach set the bar. Helmet, Visor, Left/Right Shoulder Pads, Chest-Plate, Gauntlet, Leg attachments and knee guards.
I’d like to see a return to that system, with variations of permutations and different attachments for helmets, maybe variants of chest-plates too, variants with severe battle damage or scarves over the collar, in addition to more variety between visor colors, and the ability to customize both gauntlets instead of just one. I’d like the style to be similar to Halo Wars 2/Halo 2 Anniversary, and a battle damage slider similar to DOOM would be a nice implementation. As for dirt though, I’d prefer that to occur naturally in-game, similar to armor in Mass Effect where the sand/snow/dirt gradually builds up over time.
Ideally, I still maintain that a Halo 3/Reach hybrid system would be for the best. Maybe unlock all base helmets after reaching level 10 (or equivalent) and then separating them via different credit prices, allowing you to invest in whatever one you want, being able to work towards it no matter the game-mode, and then after purchasing it, you are given the option to unlock further customization in the form of attachments (the comm uplink, supplementary armor, torch, etc.) through varied challenges. Certain helmets or even full armor sets could be locked by challenges like these, Chief’s Mk.VII armor for completing the campaign Solo on Legendary, for example.
For Elites, I’d want a return to Halo 3’s system, with segmented armor pieces, though less than the Spartans, with returning variations from Reach along with some of Blur’s variations like the Shipmaster and Honor Guards in Halo Wars 2. Oh and there’s that one design from the Headhunters short…the Advanced Spec-Ops Elites? Get those in there for good measure. I’d say that Elite Armor could be purchased with credits as sets, allowing you to mix and match sets together, with the exception of something like Arbiter’s shoulder guard or, something along those lines. Again, these would be through challenges.
Moving away from Armor though, Weapon Skins can be done through REQ Packs, I’m not too bothered about them personally so I could really care less, Armor effects, if they come back, need to be more plentiful yet still entertaining. It’d be nice to have the ‘Yay!’ back to soften the impact of death, and I’d like the option to change the color of the Mongoose depending on your team as you could in Reach.
Aaaaaand…That’s pretty much it.

Would you like the voices back as well (kf so which would you like to see a player being able to use), and with the elite customization if you liked the idea of battle damage on spartans how about the elite maybe losing a mandible or two also how much battle damage would you like to see e.g few scratches and burns or huge damage broken armour with sparks etc
Also I like your Weather idea so as you play e.g a snowy map you slowly blend in (usefull for snipers) and if a map had severe weather while playing ctf people could sneak easier, maybe if they aren’t seen for a couplse seconds the display over the flag carriers head disappears

I think having a way to submit skins for addition would be better, like a competition or something. An editor would be nice but also very abusable. Same with an emblem creator.

Reach didn’t have legs, only knee pads.

I know haha, I put legs because whenever I put knee pad it just looked like I spelt it wrong to me
also I agree that the skin editor could be abused but there are ways to counter that the easiest being the skin has to be approved by some 343 members or respected comunity members that could choose whether it is approved, and if not a comment saying why, if you think they abuse that power you can report it and have say 2-3 other people have a look at the skin (hope I didn’t come across as a -Yoink-)
also if you still disagree with a custom skin editor for all what do you think about a few members that take ideas from fans for ideas for skins and possibly armour that people could vote on to be implemented I’d say idealy have the skins armours be released say 7 (maybe 3 armours and 4 skins) every 7 days since it depends on if they add skins and armours at the same time since they do have to make them as well, if they do make them of course the skins/armours would be quite basic at first and made into higher quality as it gets more votes, and if you still disagree with the idea what would you prefer, a different approach or remove the idea entirely (edit: nvm didn’t see the last bit of your post)
