Customization idea-armor state (clean or war torn)

Ever since Halo 3, we’ve been able to customize our armor in different ways. I was thinking about this, and think it’d be pretty cool. What if we can customize the state of our armor. What I mean by that is we can have our armor look either fresh and clean, right out of the factory or war torn, with scratches and other damages. I think this would give our Spartan even more of an identity. What do you think?

I would love of Infinite had something like this. Dooms multiplayer had a similar feature where you could adjust the level of dirt and damage to your armor so i would love of halo did something similar

Yes please, I’m going to take this a step further and say: how cool would it be if we could chose different camouflage patterns for our armor? Like, you could chose between having no camouflage pattern, having a digital looking pattern ( like modern army soldiers), having a chocolate chip pattern, having stripes, having leopard-like spots, things like that.

Awesome idea! I’ve been torn between the pristine and triumphant “shining armor” of Halo 3 and the gritty, grounded and dependable look of Reach’s armor for a long time, and giving the player the power to determine which kind of armor their Spartan is wearing is a fantastic way to give us both.

I doubt it’ll happen on account of the fact that it would require double the assets, but I’d be all for it. To play devil’s advocate against myself, they’ve been doing alternate skins since Halo 4, so it’s certainly possible.

I like this idea! Let’s hope it makes it into the game.

Yeah, would be awesome to have that + camouflage, patterns, cloaks, capes, robotic arm like in reach, skull that shows through the helmet from reach, armor effects like the storm cloud and the stinky cloud

Honestly damage/dirt/grime on armour is one thing but these crazy shiny plastic looking armors are bad enough we don’t need leopard patterns or anything like that

It’s treason, then

I’d love to have this implemented into Infinite actually.

Or what if every piece of armour shows it being worn down based on the amount deaths you have? :0

Yes yes yes! I’ve been thinking halo 4 and 5s armor looks way to clean and upkept. Would love to see that option put under armor effects like halo reach had.

they could even put levels to it like
-factory
-scared
-rusted
-mutilated

If we get a leopard pattern skin halo is in its prime hahahaha. 100% wearing that.

I like your thinking OP but I’m not sure what to think of it

This would be really cool to see. The scarred version of the classic MK VI had a visor crack, which would be a nice customization feature across all helmets.
