I did not want cross core customization, and I still do not want it. The last thing I want to do is have to edit filters every time I click on an option or have to spend five minutes scrolling through two hundred visor options.
Could you add an option to turn off the cross core customization options in the armor hall, and if possible hide those options on other players’ Spartans as a setting?
You’re in a tiny minority that doesn’t want cross core.
That said, I was hoping they would include an easier menu option for the cross-core stuff. Have each separated by core in the menu like a category. With visors I have to favorite a bunch and when I want to swap I need to use the filter.
As for turning off cross core so you won’t have to see it, I’m sorry that’s not going to happen. I’d turn off death effects if I could. At least they don’t plan to mix the canon and fracture armor cores. Yet…
I’d hope that they would keep the cores and then give us a new cross core that can be mixed and matched, then let us save certain set ups as kits for that core.
I wouldn’t mind if MK VII was made the melting pot for everything. I’d rather Reach and Rakshasa and whatever other current pattern cores were kept to themselves.
I’d honestly like an option to just shut off everything. MKVII core default options with a coating that matches the color of their team. Just pure, undiluted PvP.
I would have given the players a specific Cross Core that can wear any of the items you have purchased or unlocked in Halo Infinite. Then 343 would only have to worry about updating the Cross Core and the current Event Core.

Visors going Cross core is a good thing and a step in the right direction for once. I understand clutter is an eye sore, I like everything nice and tidy if I can get it that way but this is a necessary clutter lol
If they can make a cross-core core, then I don’t see why it would be difficult to keep the others and just restrict the pieces you can wear with them to the cores’ specific pieces. There’s no real extra maintenance required.
I think if they can fix the current cores to become Cross-core, that would be the best route but chances are there is something about the other cores that is getting in the way of cross core in general. Maybe making a new core that is designed to accommodate as many cosmetics as possible is the better solution.
While I am okay with Cross core, I do agree that having the “clutter” is annoying. I’d much rather have a filter to turn off crosscore items (especially when more things become crosscore). I’m not opposed to removing crosscore items though. But I do want to use the ones that were regarded as “for this core”.
It’s just something that will continue to get worse with every new season and event, as new cores are added and even more options flood every core’s list, and as pieces are added to other armor slots.
For me its not so much that I don’t want it as much as I don’t care. It will not make matchmaking, the rigged system or the lack of content better so it is really nothing to me.
They need to completely rework the UI to manage the sheer number of items we are going to have. But ultimately cross core is a good thing.
Horizontally scrolling through a list of options though, it’s just not gonna cut it.
What we really need depends on the situation. For armor pieces, I think tabs for their origin core would be really useful. For colors, like visors and coatings, go with a grid pattern sorted in a way that gradients by primary color. So you can scroll down quickly to the approximate color you want, then pick one from there.
And get rid of gear rarities. They do nothing. Their only purpose is to artificially inflate prices in the shop.
