Customisation

I really hope they go back to something like halo reach’s armour customisation rather than what they had in halo 5 because that was pretty trash. I think they should also bring back doing challenges or achievements to get the armour rather than just basically gambling.

I believe it’s almost a direct quote from 343i that fans of Reach’s Armor Customization system should favor how they’re planning out Infinite’s.

Reach didn’t have very many (if any) sets that were locked behind challenges and achievements if memory serves, though. It was all based on the CR system and a few Waypoint unlocks if I recall correctly. Halo 3 and ODST had the Vidmaster challenges and legendary unlocks, and Halo 4 and Guardians have had some similar elements for certain sets. Personally, I prefer the in-game economy of Reach.

If they are going to do Reach style, I hope some armors are hidden behind certain achievements or something like that. (Like MP but not hidden behind waypoint)

If they are going to de H5 style, I hope they take away some armors (Tracer, Cylops) and add cooler/O.G armors (Hayabusa)

A hybrid of the Halo 3 and Halo: Reach systems would be awesome.

I’m curious as to what you mean, since Halo Reach’s customization was literally trading a tertiary color option for 6 more options when compared to 3. What would 3 even have to contribute to it?

They did confirm that it will have a reach customization when they confirmed to have 4 player split screen. But I am kinda worried about reach customization since they confirmed microtransactions.

I have the feeling that, if it isn’t lootboxes, it’ll be a weekly/seasonal rotation of items you can get.

Because the ‘Like Reach’ is likely more referring to the customization groups and screen than to the actual way Reach customization worked (Regarding rank and content).

I meant the unlock system. Tie certain armor pieces to achievements and make it so that the rest are unlockable through a linear progression system.
