I’m all for lots and lots of customisation. The more that you can make your spartan your own, the more you want to invest time into the game.
But I’ve always felt since halo 3, the customisation has been very limited, sure we got more helmets and visors, but in terms of colour pallet and styles, we’re still in the halo 2 era of just two colours.
I know you never really see your spartan that much, but it would be great to make it so they all stand out.
Below is a wish list of customising options, not certain armours or anything, just options for people to be able to change within the game to make it to the spartan they want.
Armour pieces
Helmet: classic
Visor style: with helmets like Eva and mark vi, they have a big space for the visor, rather than make a new helmet with a skull on it, why not just give us a load of different styles to use instead?
Helmet accessories: like in reach, where you were able to have little extras added to your helmet.
Torso: classic
Torso accessories: again. Like reach, only a hell of a lot more detailed. Rather than being separate pieces of armour, have accessories Allocated to certain areas of the torso.
Shoulders: again, classic choice, the way it’s being done at the moment is fine.
Shoulder accessories: once again, who doesn’t love little pouches and add ons?
Left arm: I think arms should be like shoulders where you’re able to change each arm rather than having both looking the same
Right arm: lead above.
Legs; classic
Leg accessories: add the option to have accessories to certain parts of the leg.
colour choices
Rather than just have primary and secondary, allow players to change certain body parts. Don’t give us the option to create different colours, the current colour pallet is fine, why not just use that.
Patterns: like what halo 4 does with skins, but let us use set ones as well as creating our own.
Visor colour: I feel this is fine the way it is in halo 4, add a few more then it will be all good.
HUD colours: why not? Some people want different HUDs and colours.
HUD layout: fancy a classic halo 2 layout, or preferred reach’s way? Why not change it to work for they what you want!
LEGACY CONTENT!!!
This is something I’ve wanted since Reach added the nameplates. I loved the way bad company added certain guns from different battlefield games that you’d played. I think this should be the case with armour sets in halo Xbox one, seeing as your gamertag is all on record now with what games you’ve played.
Halo CEA: mark v armour set
Halo 2: classic mark vi set
Halo 3: classic arbiter set (with the addition elites being playable again)
ODST: ODST armour set
Halo wars: mark iv set
Reach: default noble sic set
Halo 4: reimagined mark vi set (mc’s armour)
With this little add ons, it would be great to see what people have played and how far back some of the community members have gone. As from the original halo (which would be replaced by CEA), all of them have live data saved, so the game can detect this.
