Right now, if you go into (Spartan Hub > Customization > Spartan Appearance), you will see that all your items are sorted in chronological order, with the most recently acquired being last, and there is no way to change it. This makes it very difficult to find the particular items that I’m looking for.
For example:
“Oh let me try on that new Marauder helmet I just got in a pack”
“Nah I don’t think it suits me”
“… Where the hell was my Recon helmet, again?”
Yes, yes, I know that if I go into (Requisitions > Collection), it’s sorted first by rarity, then alphabetically. However, they don’t show any previews in that menu. I wouldn’t know how my Spartan looks until I back out of the menu and return to the Spartan Hub. Just a very troublesome UI to deal with. Having helmet, armor, etc, previews in the Collection menu, or having a better sortation system in the Spartan Appearance menu would solve this issue very easily.
I’m not sure if this is just me, or if other people are a little bit frustrated with things like this as well. It may not seem like much, but I think there have been some poor UI choices on 343’s part. Hopefully they can improve on it, because this game is truly great at the core. Onwards and upwards!

This is one feature I wish we had. It was better in Reach I think. I love all the options for armor but it does get crazy sorting through them all
It would be easier if everything is put under their original armor. So scrolling onto recon, drops down a mini menu of the skins it has and what is not unlocked. Another neat feature would be selecting 2+ and be able to compare the armor. So if I select 5 armor that looks good I can gather them and compare them and not have to endlessly scroll through the list to find that other one. Also a favorite button, so you can filter to favorites. Maybe that would be better.

Interesting idea, I like it. I love to compare armor to see if I like the new one I just unlocked.

Nah, they mostly read reddit. They only pay attention to the super threads on here. I actually get kind of sad when I see people here try to address 343 directly.

They read the waypoint too if it has enough fuss about it. Maybe bias towards Reddit because its more concentrated. But throw my suggestion to reddit too if you want LOL If we all have the same idea, we can improve it too.

It’s not just you. It’s a very irritating problem to have.
If you go into the req inventory, your items will be categorized alphabetically by rarity. You can equip from there. The customization menu should work the same way, but I guess they figure you will want to try on the very last thing you purchased.
It’s annoyed me since release. It’s mostly the reason I don’t change up my armor very often.
I think they just need to add a filter uption under Spartan Appearance like they have under the Collection section. On Collection screen you can filter between All, Ones you have and Ones you don’t have. If they added this option to Spartan Appearance, with the choices being something like; Chronological, Alphabetical, Rarity. Would be simple and would make browsing your armors alot easier.

Yes, a filter is exactly what we need. There have been some other cool ideas by other people here too.
Yes its really annoying, especially when trying to see which of the 4 or 5 variants you like better.
Being able to sort by acquisition/alphabetically would be fantastic in the customisation menu. They did add sort options in the req collection menu, but like you said, it doesnt preview it there.
I was sure I wasn’t the only one. For a game that has so many customisation options, it sure doesn’t have the best facilitation for it. It’s not terrible, I suppose. But definitely very annoying and troublesome.
