If the armor system is going to be as advanced as 4 or Reach, I think it would be a cool idea to be able to modify the actual body suit and certain components of the armor, and socks, because who doesn’t want to see a massive death machine stride across the battlefield in some rainbow socks?
I would love this, having seen different undersuits in Halo 5 (Fireteam Osiris), I think that would be awesome customisation option for Infinite. I’d also love to see different HUDs, imagine they gave us HUDs from CE, 2, 3, ODST, Reach, 4 and 5, the default Infinite HUD and a bunch of other new ones they make.
The Gen 2 armor in Halo 4 and 5 was a quantum leap in capabilities from the Gen 1 Mark V armor in Halo Reach. The Gen 3 armor is to answer to some minimal improvements that dissappointed some people with the Gen 2 while having favorable traits of the Gen 1 (like more armor plating). I wouldn’t mind customizable undersuits though. Was a little bummed out that only the Spartan-IVs of Osiris had.
