Custom tabletop pencil and paper game.

So for the past 10 years I have been working on a Halo themed tabletop game that is built on the rules of games like Dungeons & Dragons and the D20 system, while also taking mechanics from games like Warhammer. I want to contact 343 Industries before starting down the path of attempting publication in case I would need to obtain any authorizations, which I am sure would be the case since Halo is a trademarked franchise. I’m almost ready to start production of the prototype so I’m thinking about starting a GoFundMe to help cover the costs. But before taking money from people for a game that could get me a cease-and-desist letter, I want to make sure I can go through with it first. If anybody knows how I could contact 343 Industries about going through with the game, the help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you try to chek the terminal if there is your copy online or local games saved?

Umm… I think you are responding to the wrong thread.

Why not just make a Halo D&D campaign?

Have you had any playtesting done?

I could, but this is too custom built to just get plugged into the D&D rule set. I have wrote a Player’s Handbook with it’s own set of rules based on the D20 system.

Yes, I threw together a mock mission specifically for beta testing with a D&D group I DM for (who are also big Halo fans). Everybody loved the custom character classes and the battle mechanics. It plays beautifully but I still need to tweak a couple things, just to tidy it all up. I think this has huge potential if I could actually get it published.

One thing I still need to do is figure out how to get some custom game pieces made for all the classes and vehicles, along with enemy units and their vehicles. I am leaning towards how the pieces look for the Halo Wars Risk game.

is there a gofundme I would not mind to support it
