Played with 16 friends tonight. We did custom games like we have with every halo to date. We set the teams fairly in skill level however when the game starts it COMPLETELY mixes the teams up. Sometimes so there is only 3 people on one team.
On top of that when wveyone is screaming down the party mic that they are blue team, it gets very confusing to try and sort out. Why is the game changing our teams and why can’t you be red AND blue team?
Its crazy off-putting when your playing split screen on different teams and your both scoring for blue. It never used to be this way…
Are these bugs or is there a workaround?
You’ll probably be even more annoyed to hear that 343 doesn’t even plan on releasing split-screen multiplayer until later next year.
I’m playing split screen Multplayer. So that doesn’t annoying me at all lol… the fact the teams don’t start how I select them however is an issue

Well halo Infinite is free to play so guests can make an account on xbox live silver and play as normal. I just signed my partner in with his (non gold or game pass) profile like I always would with MCC and played split screen. It runs BEAUTIFULLY. So smooth on Series X even on BTB.
I have no problems with this feature but everyone always being blue team and the game mixing the teams up before it loads is something I could love without
I don’t know about the other stuff but at least there is split-screen.
