It has been confirmed in the video below that “for the first time ever, Halo will have custom loadouts”.

I’m going to assume that the customisation will be limited. For example, you can pick a DMR, BR or Assault Rifle. Pistol or Plasma Pistol. Grenades. I could be wrong though.
Maybe we will have 2 or 3 kinds of utility weapons from which we can choose. I don’t think we will be able to spawn with rocket launchers and swords how many people think
So Call of Duty: Future Warfare 2? … Great … Too bad I don’t remember where I preordered it from to cancel …

That’s what I was thinking.
It’s not confirmed unless 343 says they’re in.
I’m pretty excited! I just wish there was some balancing for the BR though, like make the fire rate slower or less damage.
Essentially I want it to be a real choice you make when picking your loadout, not just picking the obvious weapon. If they make an awesome SMG and some more “secondaries” it would be really nice as well.
I also want to see this relate to equipment/AA’s. While I think the main consensus is that sprint and Armor Lock are the most controversial AA’s I think invisibility, jetpack, hologram should make a return. To replace Armor lock they should have the bubble shield come back and maybe have the “healer” come back too, but with a very small radius that emulates from the player, forcing two players to stand next to each other to reap the benefits but risk giving someone a well tossed grenade an advantage. I think these equipment/loadouts should also be limited use. bubble shield, regenerator, and hologram have limited number of uses while invisibility and jet packing have a bar that doesnt replenish.
So basically I like the idea of loadouts and different “styles” of play as they say. Halo has been very strict as to what the “best” method to win was, this will give some more variation

Gears of War has weapon loadouts and I can’t ever remember it being compared to Call of Duty
YEAH!! I love Call of Duty and now I will get to cods in one year! OWESOME!
Honestly I would have absolutely no problem if in the casual playlists you could choose whether to spawn with DMR,BR or AR and be able to choose a sidearm. That would essentially make everyone happy. Either casuals who enjoy the AR or competitive people who enjoy the BR/DMR but want a break from ranked. If thats all it was I wouldnt be that upset.

Actually, I believe it is confirmed. That video was done by X-Play at the Microsoft event in Spain. Every Halo 4 video/review would have been checked by Microsoft.
Kiki Wolfkill: “I mean I think’ contextualizing Multiplayer within kinda the broader story that we’re telling in Halo 4 and also making sure that- the player always feels that what they’re doing sort of has meaning and purpose.”

She sounds a lot like that one person who worked with Bioware on Mass Effect 3 who didn’t like video games at all and wanted to tell a compelling story, disregarding all other elements.
Multiplayer is best without context. It doesn’t need it. THAT’S THE POINT.
When was the last, good game with multiplayer that held contextual relevance?

Assassin’s Creed: Revelations did multiplayer narrative pretty well…

This is an idea I had that got shot down quickly, but I mean really? What’s wrong with spawning one player with a Carbine instead of a BR, or a Plasma Repeater instead of an AR?
i think and possibly hope that they do multiple weaopons to choose from in a load out like COD. i mean there have been a lot of weapons through out the games example: every AR is different from the original with different specs same with pistols, rifles, shottys and covenant weapons too. it would make you feel more attached to your character and your play style if you could unlock and upgrade the way you like.
Urghh… did anyone else see at the bottom at the start of the video where it says who the games is made by and what platform the game is on… it said ‘Multiplatform’

If you’re talking about our First Look at Halo 4…Remember at the beginning it clearly Sates. This is of a work in progress it’s Subject To Change.
I’d say Halo 4 is in Beta form if that right now, and that means ALOT May Very Well Change! Although I must say, I don’t know how I feel about there not being a Multi-player beta.

Halo CE and 2 didn’t have public Betas and they turned out great. I’m sure 343i is privately testing Halo 4.
