custom load out advanced?

i know this is a long shot but wouldnt it be cool if there was custom load outs you could make with a mix of ar, dmr, pistol. this would come in play during rumble pit or team slayer. you could also choose between 2 frags or 1 sticky, idk, what do you think?

I like it:)
Of course I personally would rather they incorporated a budget system
ie you start the game with 50 points
you get 25 points a kill
medals and sprees give you bonus points
Frags and stickies cost 15 points each
DMR is 30 points
AR is 25 points
Pistol is 25 points
Overshield for 15 seconds after spawn is 50 points
Armor abilities are 30 points
Power weapons are either unavailable (on the map for you to pickup) or 50-100 points
As for not having any weapons… I say the gametype dictates what weapon you get if you can’t afford (or don’t want to buy) a weapon at start… same thing with what you can buy… just like a checklist type thing… I’d say the default should be a plasma rifle/repeater because well… I think we’ve come to the conclusion that AR>Plasma repeater due to the projectile speed or whatever… and starting you with a pistol would lessen the chance you’d want an AR… ha if anyone wants to expand on this…
Maybe make it so you can go into an options menu at the main menu and setup your favorite weapons like hey I like to use the DMR but I suck with the sniper rifle (eh I’m mediocre… takes me 3 shots to kill unless I’m warmed up… I always hesitate a second before pulling the trigger >.<) so I’d check the box next to the DMR and it would appear at the top of my menu in the game. When I die/ when the game starts a menu appears in three parts (panels set side by side) Primary and Secondary weapon, Grenades, and AA/powerups. These panels would be vertical rectangles and you would switch between them by just flicking the thumbstick left and right and cycle your weapon or whatever by flicking up and down.

The budget would just be a control. Just saying yeah you can have those four stickies that you might not even get the chance to use but now you’re stuck without a gun and Timmy who’s been saving up has a sniper rifle and camo and is gonna murder you pretty quickly soo have fun with that

tl;dr I love your idea and would like to see control via a budget or something… a give and take with savings… but I realize this would slow down gameplay so your idea is probably for the best.

Nope. That would totally destroy the core of Halo multiplayer. You wouldn’t need to gain map control.

NO. This would just be a “the rich get richer” scenario like MW2s killstreaks.

it would either be a hit or miss but either way, i dont want big changes, i just wanna have my dmr and pistol at all times XP

Now, there are two things I see wrong with this. One, it betrays the original Halo vision of everyone starts on equal ground. That concept ensures balanced gameplay, and it’s also the biggest gameplay difference between Halo and Call O’ Duty. Second, Halo’s weapon sandbox is not diverse enough for a kind of “custom loadout” mechanic. It works in Call O’ Duty because there at least three of any kind of weapon. There are choices to make based on gameplay style.
