I love the new gametype Flood, but unfortunately when editing flood’s settings, you can’t make them hold weapons!!
They need the original infection back, not as a multiplayer playlist because Flood is fine, or at least make it so the Flood can carry weapons.
Since they only have their claw, games like Cops and Robbers and Fat Kid are completely gone because they require different weapons than a claw.
Can’t agree more. 343 should know that the longer the game is out, the more people play custom games. So they need to cater to them too. Zombies not being able to hold weapons is massive mistake.
Lol. Apparently they had to redo the whole code for flood, yet there is virtually no gameplay difference (besides Halo 4’s additions) from classic infection, along with much limited customization. What a -Yoinking!- joke.
> I would be alright if I didn’t have to play a Mountain Dew spartan. What was wrong with individual colors for humans?
The only thing I can think of, is that 343 wanted the color contrast of the Spartans and Flood to be distinct. I would like to use my own armor color though.
343 make us be our own colors and Flood can hold wepeons again that is all we want. Even if it means making custom infection have no Flood model I will take it.
If it’s really that big of an issue, maybe the Flood should be the ones to look a little more distinct… I get all these armor customization options and they’re impossible to notice in Flood.

Exactly. I mean, these are things that can be fixed and I wish there was a more visibile way to have 343i listen to our feedback.
If we could get something like this stickied, I feel like it would be a lot easier to have our voice heard but idk if 343i actually looks at any of these posts/complaints.
It was a real shame that they took away things like flood customization. I wish we could have actual custom game freedom. I’ve seen a few problems so far that really only take small tweaks. Add options to enable/disable guns during flag carry as we’ll as the ability to enable/disable auto flag pickup and dropping of the flag. Guns with the flood game type as well as the ability to choose the zombies color and to disable flood and sword skins. Plus the flood sounds could get annoying on certain custom games. Also for future reference 343i, we don’t want pre made structures on our forge worlds. These are obvious problems that honestly should have been available day 1. Don’t get me wrong H4 is great but it is the first halo game where I have been able to see so many small flaws day 1. Please support the innovation of players instead of being their enemy. 343i show us that you are capable of continuing the halo series and fix these small (but game impacting) flaws. What would Bungie do?
Wait, flood can’t hold weapons? There were so many custom games that relied on infection in Halo 3 and Reach. Some of them might work with other gametypes, but this is going to ruin a lot of them.
Custom Games died in Halo 3 anyway. Long gone are the days where you just got 8-16 people in a Custom Lobby for some good Slayer, CTF, etc. Halo 3 was really good at the beginning when people were still in that Halo 2 mentality of Custom Games, but it degraded quickly afterwards.
I partially blame Forge for that though. People were too worried about being a unique snowflake to actually just come and sit down and play games. People tried too hard to get noticed so you could never sit down and just play. The last time I had a good Custom Game was when the Noble Map Pack came out and the playlist wasn’t up yet. I hosted, and got a ton of people to come in and just play straight up CTF, King of the Hill, Slayer and Invasion (on Breakpoint) for about 2 hours. It was great.
Though I do miss Pirate Ships from Halo 3. Though that was a Bungie gametype, not a Community one.
