Custom HUD

There should be a HUD customiser…like this

Start
Player
HUD
Colour/Color (Game disc choice)>See RED section
Arrangement>See BLUE section

Colors:
Red
Blue
Light Blue (Default)
Green
Purple
Yellow

Arrangement:
Halo CEA
Halo 2
Halo 3
Halo: Reach
Halo 4 (Default)
Custom>See BROWN section

Shield bar: Top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right, top, bottom, left, right
Health bar: Below shield, above shield, left of shield, right of shield
Radar: Bottom left, bottom right
Grenades: Top left, bottom left
Weapon: Top left, top right, bottom right
[xyz]to pick up/use/drive: Top right, bottom left

Putting some things in some places, will lock them, meaning you cannot put the health bar to the left of the shield, when it is at the top etc.

There should also be more depth to the HUD. Pieces of the actual helmet we can see that can also be damaged/cracked. I hate it that its clear and has no detail whatsoever. ODST’s Hud was OK, but it had no physical elements only cartoon-like traits. Wheres the realism???

I love it! Just make sure the purple color isn’t too light.

Great idea! And like the first guy in this thread said we should be able too see part of our inside helmet. And when shot or beaten we should get visor cracks in the helmet.

For options of course, because it might become annoying to see your visor being broken all the time. :stuck_out_tongue:

I like the color concept, but am hesitant to like the ability to move things around. Less from a personal stance, and more from a developer stance. That kind of customization is difficult with consoles as UI mechanics are far different than adjusting your UIs in PC games, (WoW comes to mind, but pick just about any PC game not ported). I would rather see dynamic armor degradation before customizable HUD mechanics.

Armor degradation could be implemented, purely aesthetically of course, either per game or for the career of the individual. If you are dying over and over again, have your armor be battle worn. If you have a great K/A/D (again game or career), let it show with flare; whether it be picked up ammo packs on your person, dog tags dangling somewhere, etches on your helmet, etc. These would provide no benefit other than looks, but would promote good gameplay. Betray/quit out frequently? Let it show with some kind of mark of shame so that everyone else knows to avoid you. This mark can be removed with good play, and would promote such efforts.

(I hope not to jack this thread, but found it somewhat related)
