So creating a custom CTF variant for Halo CE, I see 2 separate options: “Hardcore” and “Classic” rules that can be set independent of each other. What do these mean? I tried to look it up, couldn’t find an official explanation.

Classic disables the Fuel Rod and Flame Thrower.
Hardcore disables pistol spread as in the ranked 2’s playlist in Halo CE.

Thanks - is there a way to disable touch return and/or change the flag return timeout? Is “force reset” the timed auto flag return?

You can change those in the settings under CTF.
As an example all my CTF settings are, friendly fire off, no radar, touch flag return and flag has to be home to score.

I was able to find the friendly fire, no radar, and flag to be home - but I can’t find touch to return under Halo: CE, only “force flag reset,” which I assume is the flag return timeout if not touched.
Wonder if this option just isn’t present in CE?
