Fot some reason, my ability to choose FFA slayer in custom game is glitched? Every time I select it, it chooses regular team-based slayer. Me and my friends are trying to do a machinima and it won’t work with rockets-only or team colors, we can’t work until this is fixed.

Leaving aside the other unhelpful response, there are a few things you could try.
First have you tried having another party member select the game? Always worth a shot.
Second, try a hard reset of the console, hold down your main power button on the console until it shuts off. This has resolved many an issue for me, including one like this where after an update BTB playlist wouldn’t show up.
Thirdly, if you own the game digitally you can always try redownloading it. I know it sucks but not much you can do, if disc based then delete any additional files from the game management app and then restart it. Once again, it sucks but maybe it’ll help.

I know asking this may sound condescending, but for the sake of clarity, are you selecting Slayer for game mode, then going to settings, scrolling down to “Slayer,” and turning teams off?
Yeah i noticed this as well. Really all you need to do is turn teams off though.
Thanks to those who replied with a useful answer instead of an insult. As for the reason for the post, this is a shared account between 2 others. So when we need to edit something or ask a question, there will always be one ready with the answer. Clearly the other needs some anger management courses (don’t we all ;)) as he doesn’t think when he’s upset.
Anyway long story short this issue is resolved and thank you all very much for your support and understanding with this issue.

It is not a glitch, 343 has just enabled turning teams on and off, simply go into setting to turn teams off! Works for any game type
