Custom Games Browser (App) for Xbox One

A while back a few Halo Waypoint users suggested the addition of a custom games browser for Halo 5. Unfortunately, it was later confirmed that it would not make it into the game. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that we can’t have a custom games browser for all of Xbox live. Microsoft could make an app that would allow users to browse customs in any one of their games, whether it be Halo, COD, or something else. This would not only add longevity to Xbox One games but could also give Microsoft’s Xbox One a leg up on the competition (mainly Sony’s PS4).

Be sure to vote for this idea on Xbox Feedback if you agree.

So if this custom games browser isn’t coming to Halo 5, what does this thread have to do with Halo 5?

It’s a roundabout way to achieve it. Players would simply use the app to browse Halo 5 custom games.

i think this is a great idea. I wouldve never thought of this, by the way i have voted

I need to get more involved in the customs community, and this would be a great way to easily get my feet wet. I would enjoy it.

Same here

So, it could have a series of filters for example “GAME/LOCATION/LOBBY SIZE/GAMETYPE*/RATING**”
*The base gametype for as an example Fatkid it would be Infection

I liked this idea, even fits the microsoft “all in one” new thing

I posted a topic about this back in Dec 2014. It really is disheartening that this won’t be in the game from the start. It just makes sense to have it to increase the replay potential of this game. Hopefully something like an app can be made to do what won’t be achieved in the game. Or even an update to add a custom game listing to the game. This has always been the one issue I have had with XBL and Xbox, because if you come back after a year and decide you want to play, but you don’t have those friends you made and played customs with then it becomes work trying to find custom games when you should just be able to jump right in to a custom game with other people. How this feature did not transfer from the PC to the online console in the beginning really boggles my mind.

Thank you for all your votes. I really think this idea would work well for Xbox One.
