The Halo forge community has always been large and in charge, but Halo 5 complicated the file sharing feature to the point where most users just assume it’s not even there. With the release of Halo 5, I personally saw several people give up on the franchise and those that stayed only did so for the custom games that the community put out, over the years:
Clue, Speed run/Death run, Duck hunt, Demolition Derby, Chess, and many more popular custom game types that have kept the Halo franchise going on for years and in between game releases.
Now, that all seems to be coming to a halt as users need to sift through thousands of Halo 5 players, painstakingly searching each individual’s file share, looking to see if they’ve even created one of the classic game types we all know and love, finding that most of the community doesn’t actually make maps or game variants.
So, my question is this: Does anyone have any custom game types (and maps for them, depending on the game type), whether classic or new, that they’d like to share? I’d be willing to compile a list of gamer tags with the maps and game types they have in their Halo 5 file share so that people looking for certain things know exactly where to look.
