So Custom Games has issues, to say the least…
If usually more than 8 players are in a lobby, the game can’t load the map/kicks people. At first I thought this was just because Halo 2A Forge maps can’t be loaded. And a lot of people believe if those said maps have more than at max 550 objects, then the map won’t load at all. They believe the less objects, the better the map loads. While this does seem quite true, I’ve found that having more than 8 or 10 players on any map in any game having issues. Halo 3 maps won’t even load. You can’t even play 14 or 16 players on Valhalla in Custom Games, let alone a Forge maps (for example, you can’t play Duck Hunt with more than 10, maaaybe 12, players). With this happening every time in Custom Games, only 1v1/2v2 maps are able to be played. Sometimes 4v4, but not on a very reliant basis.
Apparently there’s a in-game chat issue too in Custom Games. I don’t know exactly what the issue is, since I’ve only been in Parties whenever playing Custom Games, but I’ve been told the reason why we stay in Parties is because of something that doesn’t work right with the in-game chat in Custom Games. Sorry I can’t say what the issue is since I’ve never been able to experience the issue, and the people in the Parties can’t word it right on what the issue is, I just wanted to let ya’ll know that there is some kind of issue there.
Another issue is Infection on Forged maps in Custom Games (Halo 2A). The first round can go quite smoothingly, but when the next round starts, half the objects despawn. Every single time. This makes testing Infection maps literally impossible, and is quite annoying for an Infection Forger such as myself that wants to play/playtest his maps.
