I’m surprised I don’t see more people complaining about this because it kind of kills customs. If you set up a SWAT (sorry, ““Tactical Slayer””) game mode and then save it to your files and then decide you want to load it up later on and make some changes, none of the overrides you choose will take effect–they all revert immediately.
This means that if you want to make a small change to a game mode that you saved, you have to create an entirely new one from scratch, even if you’re just changing something small like the starting weapons, the match timer, or how many kills to win.
It sucks because, in my mind, these variations are the heart and soul of customs. 343i needs to let us change these settings without interference from the game. We shouldn’t have to have multiple different versions of SWAT (or any other mode) saved all with different kill counts, weapons, or other settings. It completely kills creativity and the ability to create lobbies quickly.
Lastly, if there is a workaround for this that I don’t know about, I would love a solution so that I can actually create custom lobbies with friends in a timely manner.
