Any of you Forgers out there feel up to trying to make a unique game type? It requires creating a map with objectives and a match specific game type. Also, most likely BTB style. If I get any takers, I’ll explain more.
(I would do it but I just can’t get the hang of H5’s forge plus I suck at scripting/objectives.)
Wow, no ones in the creative mood? Well then, I’ll try to work on it and share it with the community when I’m done. Probably won’t be very good but it’s a start.
If I could get some more details I might be up for it. Not the best forger but I know a little bit about scripts and I’m a pretty competent builder.
I cannot make a good playable map but I can do… a bit of scripting… With the use of scripting, gravity modifiers, invisible walls and other stuff I may be able to make whatever this gametype idea is work.
Awesome guys, this is what I was hoping for! I’m going to explain my idea and then you guys tell me if it is doable or not. The game mode would be called Caravan or something. Pretty much, the objective is to use all the vehicles at one end of a ravine to move an objective to the other end. The attackers are trying to stop that from happening by stopping the objective from reaching it’s destination until time is up. The team in the ravine has vehicles is slightly larger, but doesn’t get a lot of weapons. They do however get, say, a scorpion, four warthogs, and four mongeese. The attackers on the cliffs can navigate to different points via teleporters, are hard to kill but have a really long respawn time, and get a few power weapons such as a Spartan laser and some rail guns. (Or they could have to activate traps, such as using control panels and timing to drop landlines, make a block in the side of the canyon come sideways crushing stuff, or even just calling in another weapon, etc. this may add another level of dynamics to the game mode.) it would probably be two or four rounds. 16 players if possible. And checkpoints for the ones in the canyon to use to spawn. I think the spawn time should be long for both sides, but I’m not sure. What do you think? And should the people on the ground get sniper rifles or something?
Overall, it’s about team work, communication, and strategy. And you can even create different maps or layouts for the same game odd. It’s just a thought and I’m not even sure it would work, what do you guys think? Any helpful modifications are welcome!

To start off, its possible to have a vehicle move by itself, but making it stop for hazards would be extremely difficult. But if somebody is driving the vehicle then its all good, either way you can have a moving objective attached to whatever is trans[porting it. I don’t think its possible for one team to have more health than another though. Everything else is possible though, you can easily make it so switches cause hazards like rocks, mines, or weapons falling in. The hard part is making it possible for the defending team to counter said hazard, but its not impossible or very difficult.
So with all that said, I think I could help, but the scripting part may get complicated. I’m not sure if what I’m imagining is correct but either way its definitely doable.

That sounds about right. Couldn’t you do a zone on the cliffs that adds increased shields? And even if it’s doable to make, would the game mode function as a whole? I guess we’d just have to try and find out! Thanks again!

I’m not sure, I haven’t tried. But the game mode should function, I’ve seen more complicated stuff the makes you go “THATS ACTUALLY POSSIBLE!” come to be, so I don’t see why not.

Well then I’m excited! Good luck and thanks again!
