Custom game, Mode editor - can not change settings

Greetings everyone,

So as with previous Halo games, I like to play some custom games with setting not common in matchmade/public games,

Well, today I load up Halo Infinite navigate the menus, sift through the setting of a previously saved game mode and attempt to further edit match options, only for the new values to revert back to previously saved values.

TLDR: I can not edit settings, for example, - Round limit 1 change to Round limit 2 or 3, it reverts back to Round limit 1.

Is this a bug?

Sadly it’s not a bug, it’s a feature. One that needs a patch immediately.

Getting the same issue. Has been there since the original f*cking flights. Not sure why the hell it isn’t fixed yet despite the number of reports that have been filed about it.

Custom Games Area Is Still Broken Since Release Date!

This is getting really old!!! Ever since Halo Infinite was released!! So why in the hell would a developer release a game that is so screwed up? :rage: I can understand when a new game come out there maybe some issues. That is understandable. But these are really big issues!! :frowning: You can’t connect to those Microsoft Azure Servers with a Modified Game Mode! :rage:

But when you play Custom Games you can’t start a game with a custom modified game mode,

( UNLESS ITS A NONE EDITED GAME MODE! )

or change maps or game modes. I’m at the point where is way pass in getting frustration :rage: Well when I learned where was an update I stated here in the forums that I was not going to get my hopes up to see if the 343i was going to fix the Custom Games. I have to thank 343i for not disappointing me in that reguard. :frowning:

Here is the “ONLY WAY” I can connect to those Microsoft Azure Servers
with a custom game mode!

After you have edited your custom mode and saved it!

goto server and select offline.
Select Map “FIRST”
Select Your “Custom Game Mode that you edited”.
Hit Play
After starting the game for 10 secs. leave game then leave game.
As fast you you can goto server select Xbox Live.
and hit play as fast as you can.

It’s a Mickey Mouse way of doing it but it works
about 90% of the time. It’s the only way I can
connect to those damn Microsoft Azure Servers!

Hope This helps! :metal:

Side Note:

You must save a game mode “BEFORE” you can edit and save your game mode.
You can’t edit custom game mode even with the over ride option. If you need to edit your custom game mode you have to delete your edit file and start over!!

We just need our own Dedicated Server Software so we don’t have to rely on those Microsoft Game Azure Servers!!
