custom game lobby in halo 4 matchmaking

I think halo 4 should have a custom game lobby in halo 4 were you could choose to host a game or you could choose to find a game.

I mean i love matchmaking and liked earn credits and leveling up and also fighting tough opponents but, sometime you just want to play fat kid zombie. Or have a warthog demolition derby until only one man is left standing with all glory and bragging rights. until the next game were he is the first shoved of the cliff to face utter destruction in the carnage or his flaming warthog. Or just play around doing stupid stuff and getting into crazy conversation that can go anywhere from how your history teacher has a huge mole on their face or how your neighbors have a male dog you feel sorry for because there daughter putts a two-to on draws all over it with makeup. Or any other crazy hilarious places it could take you.

thinking about how much fun you will have you look for someone to have a custom game with but, none of your friends are on or their watching a move or obsessed with campaign or some other game/mod and so defeated and sad you log off or play some other gametype you really didn’t want to play bu,t with a custom game lobby that would be a thing of the past. am i right?

plus it would be a good way of getting out your maps and also find some cool ones.

That would be very cool and a good way of finding epic maps that would overwise be left off the radar.

The only problem is, how would they stop people who just have a blank map with killzones everywhere (meaning you die as soon as you spawn) from getting people to join their games just to troll them. I think they should hire a team of people (volunteers?) who play through custom game maps and even though they don’t have to be good, as long as they have effort in them and not a total mess, they should be approved, meaning that player can then host a custom game match on that map.

that is a good point i don’t know how to stop that maybe have it so they have a game type list your choose it the one you want that it list possible matches and list how many people have played with that person and how many quit playing with that person so if it has i high number of people who quit you know it is probably lame and it resets every day and by quit you would actually have to quit the game not turn off your xbox your you daily rep won’t be hurt

and as for your team of volunteers its a good idea but inspecting maps would be like making a playlist, and only use some maps well that would kinda hurt the point of it. i mean in custom games the host can be swapped at any time and the host chooses the map and game types. there are probably people who enjoy playing really dumb or mess up maps witch you and i might not like, and that is the beauty of it its just for fun it dosen’t hurt your score/rank or rep to quit a game your not ranking up your just goofing off and the lobby would be more of a goof around. people could do what ever they want, weather its just have a laid back slayer game, or if you like racing, or having an obstacle course what ever you want

but you volunteer thing is a good idea it should be used to choose to what maps should go on rank playlists or the other more serious play and instead of just a few people choosing maps that are ok the whole community should be able to see and play and then vote on map that go up

I think the best solution for this is too tag the lobby if you join and it is a spawn kill fest then you can leave tag the lobby troll or stupid and then that will aware others to stay away.

Interesting idea, but why not just go into custom game?

> Interesting idea, but why not just go into custom game?

because a lot of the time ( a least for me ) you can’t really find any one playing custom and the one who do just play the same thing over and over it gets boring

They would need to have he requirement of mics because otherwise a player might not understand the game and be killing everyone when they shouldn’t.

true but you could have a description of the rules of the game in eather text or voice format would see and heir each player would see and hear before they play(if there were any set up)

People are often doin things before games like looking over service record, checking up on achievements, and so on. They COULD miss some important details leading to a breakdon in the game. This is an interesting idea and worth trying at least, but I doubt it will ever happen.

thats what i mean before you join a party/hosted game you have to agree to rules of the party before the game and if the game/ rules change it would be the host’s responsibility to let everyone know the rules have changed and if the people don’t follow the rules boot them.

I love this idea. The rule agreement screen would fix the problem of people possibly missing the rules.

I find this whole idea fantastic, I would love to see this put into ‘matchmaking’; a custom games playlist where you can find all sorts of crazy and fun new gametypes and maps you would otherwise never see. A good way for players to get their own creations out there as well, like I have always wanted to make my game modes popular. This could help those people who want to get noticed in any way.

yeah that would be the point and if your someone just joining hosts and you join a game and you hate it you can leave and not get penalized the the beauty of it

I like that idea of getting out your own maps. Race maps are just about the only easy map to broadcast to the public through video and if you could just host random people playing it, it would give your map a chance to surface.

yeah it would be a good way of getting out your maps and also find some

Yes there really should be, we need to build this movement

you could have the community vote for the good maps and dislike the bad maps…have new release playlist etc.

i agree

This is a great idea! I love you…

I could get down on that, no problem. Me and my buds are always looking for people to mess around in customs with. Feel free to shoot me a friend request GT: Kyle Isaac
