We continue to have issues with custom games. My friends and I continue to experince major game lag, total lag outs, and the inability to chat in game. We have more than 8 players and the party system does not work to accomondate us all. Is 343 aware of these issues and do they plan to address them? The Halo 5 beta is out and it’s ok, but with the custom games in the MCC still haveing issues I begin to wonder if custom game players as myself have a future in this franchise. I have been a loyal supporter of the Halo series. 343, if you even read these can you please address these issues?
I agree Achilles. I have repeatedly tried to play custom games with my friends and it never works. I have been playing halos for a long time and this has never happened to me. It’s almost as if the game is still in its alpha phase. I expected problems around the beginning but now we are in the new year and the game doesnt even support a full lobby custom game. Not everyone who plays halo is competitive and plays only matchmaking. There is a large population of players that are purchase your games solely to play custom games and they are left with nothing. I have to say I love halo and I put my trust into 343 only to be disappointed by their poor game and server performance. I am beginning to question if I am even going to purchase Halo 5. If there are people experiencing this issue please comment. Lastly if there are any 343 employees out there please fix your game before you lose all the faithful halo fans you inherited from bungie.
I absolutely agree. We can’t connect, when we do we all lag out. It’s terrible. Please focus on the custom games, as well as the Master Chief Collection, instead of trying to install merchandise and working on a game that wont come out until the Fall of this year.
Not only do i agree with Achilles and Brickhouse, i think it is awful that you have destroyed the most crucial element in halo, the custom games, the thing that makes the halo franchise unique .But now, it is the laughing stock of the gaming community, i remember when halo was one of the giants of the industry, back when bungie had control, maybe you should give it back rather than destroying a series that has shaped a generation of gamers.How can you expect us to buy halo 5, if you cant even be bothered to fix the master chief collection, i hope there are some changes soon or the franchise’s future is in trouble.Finally, it is funny how the halo 5 beta,a game that isnt even finished, is better in terms of servers and connection than the game you currently have out and people are paying money for ,money they have earned by doing their jobs while you screw around playing paintball (i have seen the sprint on the halo channel).Im going to put this very simply, fix the game or dont expect people to buy halo 5.
Ever since the release of Halo The Master Chief Collection 343 has been focusing on the matchmaking issues. Now that is an important aspect of the game, but they fail to realize that at least half**,** or even more, of the Halo Community play Halo because of Clans and Custom games. When Bungie made Halo Reach thats when they took that part of the Halo community into thought and turned Clans into one of the main ways people played Halo. When Halo 4 came out, it looked like 343 barely remembered that part of the Halo Community and just did some quick work so Clans barely worked on Halo 4 and a lot of people were not pleased with Halo 4 and continued to stay on Halo Reach. Then we come to Halo The Master Chief Collection, and there was nothing on that game that supported Clans at all. Custom games doesn’t even work with half a lobby or else most of the people get kicked out, also Game Chat doesn’t even work so and Xbox live parties only fit 8 people. So to summarize, it looks like 343 failed to continue where Bungie was heading with the Halo franchise. You let the whole Clan community down 343, but you probably don’t care about Halo The Master Chief Collection anymore cause of the Halo 5 Beta.
