Custom Game Ideas (for now)?

Following the ideas and topics in the comments of a different forum post, i want to make one. So… you guys have any idea so far? If possible, i would have it set to have only Spartan Charge Kills count (of course the point limit would be lower) in a FFA. It’s alright if your ideas are just theorycraft ideas.
Please no negativity (constructive criticism for one’s ideas are fair), no name calling… seriously. I want to make a discussion and have it be a positive one. Lately the forums are just full of people going at each other…
Anyways, back on topic, I’m also thinking of a Hydra-slayer custom game, secondary would be Boltshots. idk abotu how shields would take damage yet, may have everyone start with Overshields? Nah…

I read a cool idea somwhere [sombody elses idea] where they suggested a gametype where only ground pound kills count, i could imagine the map being a vertical series of platforms with maby 5 or 6 levels or something, with teleporters scattered around that teleport you to higher or lower platforms, so people are just teleporting all over the place, getting above other players, ground pounding them ect haha utter chaos

If anyone has played that map on Reach where there was this really long tunnel with a teleporter at the end and warthogs would jump down the tunnel and continue getting faster and faster while the zombies would try to hit the warthogs with grav hammers. I could imagine the Halo 5 version would be with ground pound instead of warthogs.

How about a gametype like Om nom (one team of mongees drive as many times down a narrow path to score points, while the other team on either side of the path chucks sticky nades to stop the mongooses)

Except instead of a path, it is a tunnel, and have banshees and phaetons fly through it with the attacking team using spartan charge, ground pound and stickies from the sides of the tunnel (with a teleporter along the bottom of the tunnel to catch them).

funny thing i’m noticing right now,t eh spartan abilities seem to open up/change custom game modes a lot. makes them sound more interesting to me lol

it’s alright, just take what we do know and try to think of incorporating other elements into the idea.

that my friend, is a very popular custom game called speed halo.

ok, who has seen ender’s game? no shame its a good watch anyway, i plan on building a map based on the training room, it’ll be in a skybox and have 2 spawn platforms, 1 hit kill plasma pistols, reduced gravity, and the only terrain between the two spawns will be random blocks you have to jump, boost, clamber and ground pound between, watch out for that long way down bonus! it could even be a ricochet match! it’ll be even cooler if we get another space skybox

A Playlist that contains community created maps made specifically for non sprint gametypes?

sounds rather fun. never seen the movie so idk what it’s suppose to look like lol

Only ground pound kills go towards the score.

Imagine a custom game where there 5 people up top and 5 people on the bottom, and the people on the top have only 1 life each and try to groundpound the other team before they make there way up to the top by clambering and jumping to the team up top.

I would love a game that combined quickochet with binary slayer. It’d basically be quickochet but everyone would be armed with a binary rifle and a sword and speed would be turned up and gravity turned down. Reminds me of a game type I used to play in unreal tournament back in the day.

I’ve been wanting to do this since Halo 4:

  • Name: Dark Silence - Players: 4-8 - Starting weapons: Magnum and Plasma Pistol - Objectives: Get 120 points
  • A normal kill - 1 point - Grenade kill - 2 points - Assassination - 3 points
  • Every kill when you get the “Killing Spree” medal - 5 points****Notes: There is no time limit and the map is completely asymmetrical.

Earthquake-
No Weapons (if it’ll even allow it, if not then just no weapon damage), ground pounds only.

Parkour Punch
Super high speed, tons of obstacles in your way for you to clamber and manuver around, while trying to melee the other enemies. Kinda like Punchout in Halo 3 but sped up.

Now that we have slide and clamber…We could make the BEST Indiana Jones custom games yet…and just think if they add the breakable doors from warzone into Forge!

We need cops and robbers to make a comeback!
