In the new Sparkcast, they were talking about weapon drops and how they come crashing down from the skies. If the position of the drop, amount of drops, and the speed that it comes down are customizable, I can only imagine what kind of obstacle course-esque gametypes will come from it. I’m not much of a forger, or a customs guy at that, just throwing the idea out there. I’m calling it right now, a half year in advance: There will be a popular map variant titled “Make It Rain”.
I can imagine someone playing CTF on hemorrhage, driving around in a Warthog trying to dodge thousand of drop pods.
Everyone would be cowering in their bases the whole time…Maybe the cave would get a little love then.

On that note, getting splattered by ordnance should totally be an achievement.
“We are pinned down out here! We need some supplies!”
*Thousands of drop pods come crashing down on them"
“OK THAT’S FINE! THATS ENOUGH!”
I think I’m thinking a bit overboard, but imagine a carpet bomb of pods dropping down on you, like the Target Locator, only twice as quick and much wider…This could bring the whole explosion/impact aspect in Halo to a new level. I was listening a little more, and it sounds like he said they could spawn at almost 0 seconds at a time. Hope I didn’t that hear wrong.
Hmmmmm sounds cool
Sounds…EXPLOSIVE
