Custom Game Glitch?

Not trying to add to the multitude of complaints in these forums (which yes I realize I am) but I cannot change the gametype in Custom Game matches for some reason. Can anyone explain this?

Not sure why they haven’t fixed this issue, but I think one remedy is put the original 343 game type and then choose a custom game type that is based off of that 343 game type.

For example:

  1. I want to play (insert custom game type)
  2. (insert custom game type) is a form of slayer
  3. I choose 343’s Slayer game type
  4. I then choose (insert custom game type)
  5. Custom game then loads
