Custom game crashing even worse now

Not gonna make this a long post, but to cut it short here. Whenever a custom game ends that happens to hold a full lobby of 16 players the game freezes so badly i have to reset halo 5 causing me to lose the entire lobby.
-Side note- When people leave a custom game it freezes up badly still i thought this was supposed to be patched this update

Whenever you have a lot of people in a Custom Game all at once, the game is put under additional stress to maintain 60 FPS for every single player in the lobby. Combine that with each player’s individual internet quality - some might have good internet, others may have bad internet - and a map that uses a lot of Forge parts and materials, the game is bound to lose control.

It never was this bad before the update its never been to the point i have to reset halo. I dont even mind waiting 2 mins on a frozen screen but it goes far beyond that now.

This’s a bunch of BS! I can see you’re the type of person that pulls stuff out of your @55 to try to make things have some kind of since behind it, even when it untrue. I remember people like you used to say the reason why the Full Rod Cannon and the Flame Grenades in H3 aren’t in MM is because it causes frame rate lag which is nothing but BS…
But anyways Halo 5 Customs Servers should’ve been fix with the latest update. But instead of fixing it they made it worse than it was before. Now if someone leaves the CG it can freeze your screen anywhere from 3sec to 2min or just crash your game which is horrible.

That’s not how that works. The graphics engine is only “stressed” by the number of objects that are actually on-screen; culling out off-screen player models is super easy for an engine in a AAA game. You could argue that the CPU is under more stress due to having to process collision, animation, and so on for a handful more actors, but if that were enough to destabilize the game engine, Campaign wouldn’t be playable.

It’s really not, though. OP is reporting crashes at the end of a game. Match state shouldn’t cause problems in the lobby unless the game just isn’t cleaning up after itself properly. The quality of someone’s internet connection shouldn’t even factor in.

Like, there’s no need to make excuses for crashes, and it just comes off as minimizing OP’s problem, TBH.

The Fact is that these problems need to be fix. They should’ve been fix awhile ago. 343 has no problem fixing MM but not customs which makes no sense. If your gonna claim that your fixing all the problems then don’t fix customs it just goes to tell us how much they love to lie to us in there updates and live stream. I’ve been looking the other way for awhile now and telling the community to wait until the 4k big update to fix the problems only to be lied to by the people that love to stay quit about everything instead of talking to its community. Makes you wonder what else are they going to lie to us about.

you have to wait a little while when you have these problems, you are not obliged to close the game and launch it again.

what about when you have to wait over 30 minutes for the game to reload. I counted

I understand that these bug are annoying, but there are not many in the game.

Maybe in another year 343 will fix this.

If only we had more mods like you.
Please go into the other threads complaining about issues and call out all the other problem deniers and minimisers. The trend on this forum now is to shut down anybody who complains about a legitimate issue and putting the blame on their internet speed or unrelated elements.

@OP yes it’s really frustrating. it can take a long time to build up a lobby only to lose it in a few seconds is crushing, especially when you have some really fun customs lined up. The funny thing is I find that the in-game freezes aren’t even freezes, they’re black screens. My screen goes black but I can still shoot, melee, throw grenades etc, just can’t see anything. Have you experienced this?

The black screen thing yes and no. Yes to where I can hear everyone else playing around me but no to shooting and etc… The only time I’ve experience with what you said was on Battlefield 1.
