This may be controversial and I’m sure people will pipe up with “SACRILEGE!!”, and I’m in 2 minds about this myself because Halo has never had bots (as far as I aware) but what are people’s thoughts on Halo 5 adding the option to setup custom game types and fill out any empty player slots with bots?
I personally love the competitive side, but every now and again I wan’t something that I can totally switch off to while still get my Halo fix. And before everyone says WARZONE…i love warzone but a 30 minute match can be excessive for sometimes when you want that one last match before you go to sleep.

Absolutely! It would be a great way to play offline, plus a little concession from 343 since we don’t have the option of splitscreen for 5.
I wish all games had bots. Red Faction had it right back on ps2, kept me entertained even after beating it and having no one to play with.
Would love it! As long as no rewards. No xp. Just simple practice without getting killed every second.Lol!

That would be nice so I could practice without caring about KDA or anything.
As long as there are no XP gains or KDA and W/L ratio changes, I’m fine with bots in a Halo game, provided the bots’ behavior is really good. Halo hasn’t had good friendly AI since Halo 2 in my opinion.

I had exactly the same. Beat that game 20 times over…no one else had it…stuck bots on and it was like I’d discovered Xbox Live inside my PS.

And Warzone with a lobby full of bots, with more AI on the field would be epic…again for those shy of online but still want the experience. I put in another post - 343i Feedback - The Future of Warzone, that if they added another Warzone playlist that got rid of the core instant win, got rid of just 1 150 point legendary boss, they could add another 150 single point AI that drop in over the course of the battle. Double that up with bots and you have something on the re-playability value of Firefight!!! No joke.
Just to reiterate, I love the competitive side WAY more than casual and that feel from Halo 2 & 3 is what makes me love Halo 5. But it would still be nice that have the option and I know loads of people would play it. Is there any way to directly address 343i or are these forums the closest thing we have to it?
I completely agree. It would be great to have a way practice using different weapons, such as the sniper rifle, or skills such as fast, accurate head shots for swat.
Also, it would be good to be able to play a few ‘warm-up’ matches before jumping into Arena, or just to have some fun if you’re not feeling competitive. It would be better to have a casual, unranked set of playlists, the same as earlier Halo games, but custom matches with bots would be the next best thing.
I would love bots! It would be a great way to practice!
