So, I’m sure this question has been asked and most likely answered numerous times, but I looked and did not find any recent threads on it, so I’m just going to ask it.
I’ve heard a rumor that when you finish a custom challenge, if you choose to “turn-in” the challenge, the credits will not be awarded to the player. Instead the player must wait out the timer for the challenge to disappear on its own and then the challenges are awarded to the player.
Is this rumor true? Or, can I in fact choose to “turn-in” my custom challenges once they’ve been completed and still receive the credit reward.
Thank you for your and anyone else’s assistance.
When you turn in you do receive the cr just not immediately, you receive it at the time when the challenge is up. I.E. if you set a challenge for 3 hours and turn it in 3 hours from when you started the challenge you will receive the cr.
In short turn them in, in fact it is essential if you are efficiently using challenges to boost your cr and rank as it frees up the slot for new challenges of the same type.
It used to be that you’d get the credits when the time was up, but not anymore. The cR is put into your balance (for lack of a better word) quite quickly but the effect isn’t necessarily instantaneous, there is a bit of updating. So you turn it in, give 10 minutes tops or play another match, and you’ll get the cR

I agree, if you’ve finished the challenge 2 hours before the time limit is up then you shouldn’t have to wait out the remaining 2 hours.

You don’t, if you turn it in, it gives you the cR automatically and allows you to create new challenges instantly.
This is something that can be easily tested.
- Write down your starting credits.
- Set up one or more custom challenges. Write down credits earned by completing challenge.
- Play a game.
- Write credits earned for completing said game.
- Repeat steps 3 & 4 until you complete your custom challenge(s).
- Add up all the credits you gained from playing your game(s) and the custom challenges.
- Examine your new credit total. Subtract the number you wrote for step 1 from the total you see. The number you get from step 6 should equal the number you get here. If it does then you are getting your custom challenge credits.
When customs were first released, this is how I tested to see if they were really working or not. And if you get the challenge completed for “turn-in” this does in fact work to show you receive the credits. But don’t take my word for it. Try it yourself.
This meaty slice of knowledge has been brought to you by the letter K and number pi. Enjoy.
