Custom Challenges? Nameplates?

Now why in the world were custom challenges removed? Why haven’t the nameplates been added to Waypoint? If it ain’t broke, then don’t try to fix it and break it even more. Can you stop breaking things 343? Leave Reach alone! :frowning:

Edit:

The URL for challenges has changed from:
https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/players/<GAMERTAG>/haloreach/challenges
to
https://haloreachstats.halowaypoint.com/en-us/players/<GAMERTAG>/haloreach/challenges

Confusing :expressionless:

(Also Halo 4 was more broken than Reach :V)

They announced it awhile back. I think their reason was more room for a their server or something. No clue.

Both features are no longer available on Halo Waypoint.

I’m pretty sure the custom challenges were completely removed, not just relocated. Also the name plates were more of a “Bungie thing” so I don’t think they were ever going to be added anyway, that way it makes them even more special to have.

  • kill 100 enemies in multiplayer matchmaking

I don’t think that many people were aware of them. Had they made it possible in game I think the general players would have used it more frequent instead of having to log onto your computer each time and customize it through their. As for the nameplates I wish they’d have those. I understand it’s a Bungie thing, but I feel if I perform the pre-requisites I should be able to earn the nameplate. I feel this is most unfair with Halo 3’s Recon Helmet. I was willing to do it and even had a group together, but I felt it was pointless if I didn’t earn the Recon Helmet.

Room on their server? They’re just doing it to force newer Halo games down people’s throats by making matchmaking less appealing to the audience that still plays. There is absolutely no reason for removal aside from what I just mentioned. I’m really disappointed with 343 in general. First they make Halo into a COD clone with Halo 4, now they ruin the last good Halo title with removing features. Lovely. I really am not liking this and hoping they reconsider. Sad. Really sad.

I compleatly agree with your statment. I went out FIVE months before Halo 4 was released and pre-ordered it, and I spent those five months looking at all all the stupid and disappointing features that would be added and sat along helplessly as they took out the amazing features that Bungie had kept in ever Halo game before it. Biggest waste of $65 in my entire life!

I just started playing Halo: Reach again(I lost all my rank a couple years ago when I joined XBOX Live;haven’t really played Reach since). I was looking for a quick way to earn credits and rank up. OF COURSE, 343 removes it. Seriously, good graphics in Halo 4 doesn’t mean crap if the game sucks. I like Halo 4 matchmaking, but for the most part, 343 screwed up. It just isn’t as good as Reach.

i agree I used those challenges to boost me back to my original gonna do it again until see them gone I mean seriously I want to hit bungie upside the head giving the game away and 343 is making game suck, halo 4 graphics ok I guess but they like mess up all of the enemies, some elites have less armor which makes no sense the grunts are fat and the jackals are ok I guess the new Spartans are too bulky but the story could have been better though

also just sending out something if you guys want to join this clan im in on reach (51st Airborne) message me and ill message the leader see you guys on the battlefield

Remember Reach

Please don’t bump month old threads if you’re not going to add anything worthwhile to the topic

I didn’t hear about custom challenges about a year after Halo 4’s release. So it obviously wasn’t advertised much. I really was looking around for these challenges but then found this page. My friends always wondered why there were never any Halo Waypoint challenges and I was really hoping to give them something good. Too bad.

Dude I feel the same way about the custom challenges being removed when I first got halo reach I was all excited to check out halo waypoint for custom challenges to rank up fast and gain tons of cr but instead to find stupid stats

They should so add the features back in

Halo Reach is no longer fully support by 343. All they do now is server maintenance and thats it. Halo Reach is nothing more but a vision in 343’s rear view mirror, and they now focus more on future projects.

Nameplates were not transferred over when Bungie passed the torch over to 343i. Custom challenges were removed recently if I remember correctly.
